Not sure if this is the Right spot to post this but I Need some help diagnosing a sound.

Got some very loud clunking like something is hitting when driving Like a rotational clunk. Sounds like it is coming from the rear maybe my diff or drive shaft. 2016 tacoma auto trans. Went off reading the other day and tweaked my suspension, thought it needed an alignment but I got one today and the sound has progressively gotten worse. To the point where I don’t feel safe driving it.

I also have a check vehicle stability control system warning light

    Any ideas?

That's the rear diff drain plug alright, with an excessive amount of metal shavings built up on the magnet.

Getting a little of that between changes is normal but that's definitely too much...betting there was chunks of metal in the fluid too
