I’m in the market for a tailgate light bar . Any recommendations on brand . Looking for one that will last me a long time that doesn’t have issues and easy to connect . I looked at some on Amazon but have mixed reviews . So looking for real answers for people that have one here . Thanks all .

Several like myself have installed OPT7 light bars.. good product and easy install to tow lights or even cleaner using a Curt harness. Search forum for other “tailgate light bar” posts..

I ended up ordering the cheaper set up from this brand I went with the 4 pin harness since I don’t think I’m going to hook up the back up light . I’m mostly looking for turn signals and brake light since I installed a softopper so it’s blocking my 3rd brake light .

Good video . I ended up ordering the harness to plug in directly from behind the bumper since I don’t want to cut any wires .

While I dont have one, I really like the opt7 light bar. It has stop, turn and reverse lights. The turns are sequential so they look neat too.

The delay you notice is not a deal breaker for me. From my understanding, it's due to OPT7's four wire setup. Brake and blinker are on the same side in the same wire. The lightbar needs to wait and determine if it is constant power(brake) or pulse power(blinker). Hence the .5 sec delay.

This is the exact issue I was having when installing my 3rd brake light for my topper. I didnt want to tap into any wires, so I plugged it into the hitch wiring... brake light worked, but it also flashed when I turned left :(

It’s a tight fit, just as plugging in when towing.. I did use dielectric grease and taped the bullet plug in place..I check it on occasion to ensure things are ok..

2014 Taco....With the spare tire drop down access hole now being blocked please tell me I can still gain access from underneath with shortening the rod and using a ratchet? Yes I’m a newbie owner folks!
