Came to the house to check on my FIL, drop off our dog, feed our snake, and possibly pick up my subwoofer (she's at work until 8pm today so I help with chores here).

I looked in the ottoman that normally has our dogs toys, brushes, etc. and there it was

That's how my wife is. We literally split everything is 50/50

Actually I take that back, some stuff like groceries and incidentals that we share we just take turns buying

yup, and keeps money arguing out of the relationship..I don't have to ask permission to buy something and neither does she. But we're both good with money and trust is a big part of that too, obviously if one of us was careless and couldn't afford our half of rent or stuff our daughter needed then that would cause an issue.

We talk about big purchases with each other but needing 'permission' or anything like that isn't something to worry about

They aren't that hard but you'd be surprised how many people mess it up, supposed to tighten them down regularly too esp if you use a seat belt through them because they loosen up.

More modern cars have hooks under the seat cushions that the car seat connects to with straps, older vehicles (like my truck) you have to run the seatbelt through them
