I’ve been searching for that bottle. The only place I’ve seen it is online from Bitters and Bottles

I couldn't find it locally, at all. Didn't check Bitters and Bottles actually - I should have since it would've saved me a few buck on shipping but oh well. Next time.
If B&B does have it, I can pick it up for you and try and work out a TW express if interested. I'll even throw a little of that Jefferson's Reserve in a sample bottle.

If any of you are near the storm please be safe out there. I think I'll crack open something I've been excited to try just in case things go sideways here.

I never knew I liked Whiskey...Never really tried it...until I got a bottle as a gift...and then I realized I love it...I know people have their feelings about the Game of Thrones line being gimmicky but as some have said, they review well...Talisker is outstanding. It's light on smoke, a little medicinal (band aid smell) it's one of my favorites..I like it room temp and neat...I've been saving the empties and the tubes. I think I'm going to try and sell the all on Ebay...I'll post a pic later

Funny thing this distribution, I can’t find Buffalo Trace or Blantons to save my life but the Bowman’s distillery is one town over. The one time we had all three at the same time, I liked the Blantons, my son liked the Bowman and my buddy liked the Buffalo Trace. I’m hoping for a re-match one day soon.

I appreciate it. I’ll call the store tomorrow and see if they have it in house or if they’re just selling it on their website. I know some places keep the two separate

Distribution is weird. I can get Buffalo Trace, Eagle Rare, and Sazarac pretty much everywhere locally. Weller, EH Taylor, and other offerings from Buffalo Trace - not so much.

I actually like Blantons a lot, despite the hate it gets from some people. I would never pay over $70 for it but I also have gotten plenty luck with finding it.
I've got a Buffalo Trace Store Pick sitting on my self, it's alright. Tastes like normal Buffalo Trace, nothing special.
My Eagle Rare Store Pick is very different from off the shelf Eagle Rare. Much sweeter and fruity of a nose. Finish, not as long and very easy going down. I prefer the store pick while my girlfriend prefers the off the shelf variety.
My parents are in VA Beach and they actually picked it the Bowman for me. There was more than enough Bowman SiB and SB near them.

I'll probably give my whole BT distillery bottles a taste when the Bowman gets opened.

The last Bowman shootout had John as the clear winner.

Talisker 15 yo 2019 Special Release 57.3% UK market bottle

There aren't many cask strength Taliskers out there which is perplexing since they're DELICIOUS

I hadn't tasted this in a while and I wanted to Traeger a filet tonight. Picked up a filet at the store and got the last bottle of the double oaked!
It's a great, neat sipper. Always goes great with a nice cut of meat!

Woodford reserve is the first real whiskey I ever had. I was on a cruise and our drink package allowed for any drink under $18 so I asked with the most expensive thing they had was under $18 and it was Woodford reserve. I had some really good old-fashions!

Here's a small batch local treat for you all. It's a single malt called stimulus distilled by Nashoba Valley winery's in Massachusetts.

It has an interesting story behind it. Apparently the owner of the Vineyard had three children and told his wife we could spend $75,000 on three weddings in 20 years or we could just buy a vineyard now and invest that 75 grand and have a place to host the weddings with open bar. Then under the Bush administration when they received their stimulus check He decided to throw it all into whiskey distilling. This is why it's called stimulus. The $59 bottle is only aged five years in Oak so it's kind of young. I've read the tasting notes on it to me it smells like floral toffee with hints of coconut and chocolate and at a distance sweet fruits. It's pretty good. A cool feature is a piece of the barrel it was aged in is part of the cap.

Here is a local review of the whiskey. Incidentally I am a chemist so it's funny how whenever I smell these alcohols I always pick up the trailing hints of actual chemicals. Esters and aldehydes. https://eastcoastwineries.blogspot.com/2017/02/nashoba-stimulus-single-malt-whiskey.html?m=1
