SPC UCAs #25470 arrived today, they're nice and beefy. Getting things ready for a suspension upgrade. Amazon tells me these don't fit my 2015 but I am sure I've seen them used on 2nd gens. Right?

I'm going to hit all these new parts with Sharkhide Metal Protectant. It's supposed to save your metal parts from corrosion, rust, salt, weathering, etc. Hopefully it does something because it wasn't cheap.

 

Made myself some new hi lift mounts today. My previous ones were a rush job so I wanted to make them right. First one took awhile to get the angles right. I wanted it a certain height off the wheel well and also wanted it to stick out a certain distance from the bedside.


Once I got one down, I put it in the vice. Put the second strip of metal next to it and just matched the bends. I’d cut part way through with a grinder, bend and weld. Second mount took no time at all.

 

Didnt do much. Just took a pic and just admire how much I love the 2.5 gen front end look. Regardless 2nd gen best gen!

They fit, I got em on mine.

 

So washed my wet okole seat covers today with they're shampoo . Just wet the seat with shampoo soaked rag then wipe with dry rag . Didnt look dirty but was .

 

I've tuned it, this freakin thing hammers hard! A lot better than the last pair, which I blew up 6 days after installing them. Lol

 

If you want much better brakes I highly recommend installing a Tundra/Sequia master cylinder and booster. You'll get outstanding results.

Bought a bunch (40) of 5/16 x 3/4 stainless carriage bolts with a nylon and stainless washer on the back to fill in all of my fender flare holes.





May get some bushwhackers or RDJ flares after I trim the fenders, but for now I was just tired of staring at the holes.

 

Nah, flareless tacos look sick!

 

Raised the taco up a bit. And put 285’s on stock OR wheels.

I run a 4runner caliper now and pretty happy with it, but brakes can always be better.

Run them without the flares! I love the flareless look. I sanded and painted my flare clips and called it a day.
