Some Ethiopian and Bulgarian 8mm Mauser. Very cheap for 8mm so my expectations were accordingly low. I test fired 20 rounds of each. One Ethiopian round was a dud, and the Bulgarian had one round get damaged somehow so it wouldn't chamber. It had a scrape on it with a metal burr sticking up. They pretty much all were hang fires. Nothing too crazy though just maybe half a second after the trigger pull. Overall if I only get one dud per box I'll be pretty happy.

Best 8mm surplus out there is Romanian. Its a lacquered steel case with a 150 gr bullet. Stuff is pretty hard to find though.

I handload for mine based on that Romanian surplus. Developed a 150gr load that pretty well matches where it lands at 100 yards.

I will keep an eye out for that.
I really need to handload for 8mm, .303, and 30-06. My current living situation makes it difficult though. I am saving brass for that day I can.

I just want to go to that full auto gun place in vegas and play for a while. That'd be really fun like disney world for me.
I just shoot some PPU with mine relatively cheap. Then if you hunt with it I use some remington softpoints does pretty good.

PPU is good stuff. I buy it just for the brass alone. Probably 8 loadings so far on my 8mm cases and I've yet to have one split on me.

Nah man keep it for yourself. Someday these old calibers will get so expensive to shoot that the only way to do it will be to reload. PPU being imported ammo means it could go away with the stroke of a pen.

Shot full auto at my bachelor party.
Shooting a krinkov. Also shot a uzi and ps90. The krinkov ( yugo i think) was uncontrollable for me but the most fun. The uzi was like a sewing machine but jammed a couple times but was also fun. The ps90 was fast and flat shooting with really small bullets. Amazing actually lol. I also shot a mg34 once but it was reenacting so it was blanks.

We went to the machine gun nest in MD. They dont let you load the gun and stuff but the staff was cool. I enjoyed it. Totally a once a year thing I'd do.

A buddy of mine (3rdmonkeydefense on IG) is local to the machine gun nest and has shot a few matches there, seems like a cool place.
I got to shoot a FA MP5 in Vegas when I was about 12 and I really want one when I get my FFL.

I've seriously considered trading my taco for a high end UZI after shooting one :oops:I dont think the truck would cover the cost of a full auto anything so I'd have to stick with semi auto.

Have you looked into building one ? If you can bend metal you can knock it out pretty reasonably

    Edit : Uzi that is

It looks like the UZI is rather involved? Not sure if that's something I can pull off. I question if I can pull off my AK kits lol.

I would love a micro UZI kit though.....

Dude here uses a Mckay receiver all done up , they sell them stamped flat as well , just takes some bending and forming . Everything else just takes assembly

Now that I think about it I might have liked the UZI the most even though it jammed. Im sure thats because it was clapped out though. With the micro UZI you could build it as a pistol and do a brace on it. That might be kinda cool.

Nice im going to look that over. Been a while since I looked into UZI builds. I'm just not confident I wouldnt fuck up a expensive pile of parts lol. AKs are $500 less tools max.

Uzis can be had for around 10-15 for an extremely nice one. Full auto sear blocks for an AR can be for around 20, full auto .22s around 5g. Just watch the main auction companies like rock island the sold prices for full autos there are fairly spot on for market value.

I actually chose to shoot the UZI more instead of shooting the mp5.
