All my rigs are purpose built. From crawling to camping. I also enjoy a nice stock truck for what that’s worth. Toyota’s are the jam!
I am going full Offroad camper

Depends on which dinner. I usually eat my first dinner at 4:30/5, then another at 7

I want an RTT and a rack to put it on too, but I just can't justify the expense for how rarely I actually get to go camping. Now if someone wants to import a crate and go through the hassle of importing something from China, I'd be willing to "invest" in the idea with the assumption that there is a ROI once everything comes in. I looked into it about a year ago, and narrowed it down to 2 importers. One of them being Sunday Campers https://www.sundaycampers.com/

Agreed, I see a lot of people that purchase an RTT to buy into the fad, and then use it maybe twice a year.

I actually have a buddy who is in the process of importing a set of hard shells, I just missed out unfortunately. I believe he got enough interest and bought 8 of them which came out to ~ $800 a piece. Depending on the quality, he may do it again, and if so I'll have to throw a notification up here for those interested.

    Also, GOOD MORNING FOLKS!!

Got a wheeling trip this weekend, trying to determine a game plan.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/coppinger-cove-wheeling-trip-aug-28-30.675712/

The original plan was Coppinger, but i believe the risk of rain this weekend stacked on top of the rain we have already had is going to throw that option out. I am still up for going there and looking at the water levels and then going from there, but am also considering Windrock. Im open to suggestions, what do yall think, anyone joining? Should be a good time to meet some Alabama folks :)

a lot of bad ass stuff
I’ve been watch that thread and unfortunately couldn’t swing having the whole weekend off. I’m off Sunday and would be down meeting the group somewhere if possible. If not I think a planned future trip to Windrock would be awesome.

Gotcha, no worries brother! Oh yes, maybe we can start a thread for that soon. I've got an annual pass (actually 2, one for the lady) and i need to make the best use of them, so I will absolutely be out there again soon even if i go this weekend!

Hear ya. Until then I'll build a platform for free out of scrap wood and sleep in my CST camper/shell/tent. I found a cool tent that goes over the end of the shell with tailgate down and window up (so I can actually fit in the sb) for free-fiddy from a buddy.

Some good ideas in the thread there. Any of yall went this route and made a slide/fold out extension part for when the tailgate is down?

I’ll second that. Sub $1k hardshell RTT could push me to buy, assuming quality was on point.

I maybe crazy, but I'm out on cheap shit from China; both in practice and principle it's not worth it to me. Not casting any stones it's the beautiful part of America is our freedom to do what we want.
