I would strongly suggest joining the forum Northeast Shooters and poke around on there. Google whether your town is green, red or black and that will likely drive what sort of license you'll be able to get. If you live in a black town, like say City of Boston, well good luck...

The reason Alex said to go for unrestricted is, if you put your own restriction on your application, you can bet your ass you'll get that restriction on your license. Equate this to passing the driving license test with our without glasses. If you can pass without your glasses, it never makes it on your license. If you can't pass, and they put on your license that you need corrective lenses to drive, you're not in trouble if you get caught without them. Better to only be restricted by the governing laws.

count me as a maybe? TBD. I think I have something that weekend, it was homecoming but that’s gone to shit but I think I remember there being something then that I was able to do because homecoming got cancelled. Or went virtual. Virtual homecoming wtf.

 

It's criminal the hoops Mass makes people jump through just to exercise their severely restricted rights in that state. I say that as a former Masshole from a permissive town who had an unrestricted LTC. Luckily I saw the light and took a few trips around the globe for 28ish years and chose a different New England state afterwards.

 

I could be mistaken but I think R.I. is generally more restrictive with firearms. Believe it or not.

Sports are for children, almost anything you do with your time is better than wasting it all day in front of the tv.

 

I watched a Doc Rivers press conference, he made a statement about how can they still love America. My thinking was, cause in America you can make millions each year playing basketball or other professional sports. Police violence is not ok, but neither is refusing to follow police directions.

and sports are a very important part of school for some, it may be the only reason some are in school. There are lots that used to be taught in sports, but unfortunately all those social skills and team concepts have been eroded away by money and it’s involvement in sports. Once it was just professional, now it’s very clearly in college and showing up in high school sports, shit I could argue money is ruining youth sports now.

What you said is how I feel. I learned so MUCH about how to be a good person and do things the right way in sports. Now its trash with criminals everywhere and no morals. Im sure a lot of this was happening before, but it wasn't glorified and the press used to focus on different things. My children will be exposed to any sport they want to try, but they will never watch a pro game, they will never have a jersey and they will never be told that an athelete is important.

Athletes and actors are paid entertainment, most with no education in schools or the real world and are NOT to be idolized or listened to.

 

More restrictive than Mass? I kind of doubt it, but I'll take your word for it. Neither state ranks well as far as being able to exercise your rights as an American. I lived in RI about 20 years ago for 3 years. Vowed never to set foot in that state again.

 

But Most of America doesn’t agree, they are so influential it’s ridiculous. I hate when a musician gets up and starts talking politics, I have left concerts or shut off stuff because of this. You want to influence me, write a song that makes me think, make a tv show that makes me think, write a book, go volunteer in your community, go help out youth...

 

To me, an hour would be worth it for a chance to escape an oppressive state like Mass. Southern NH is expensive due to people doing the same thing, and those that work in Mass will still have to pay Mass taxes on their wages.
Heck it's expensive where I am renting about 90 minutes north of the Mass line.
