I picked up 400 shares of MTNB today at $0.80 with the profits from some other crap...we'll see what comes of it Very low volume today..which shows support right at $0.80...Nobody's selling...just holding

 

whats with LIACF? Seems like all the electric car stocks are all learning to walk after seeing tesla run but everything lithium related is going about nowhere at the moment??? I'm still thinking it's gonna be a damn good play but like, if not now, when

 

I feel the same way on LIACF....It's been dropping and I've been adding..I'm closing in on 1,000 shares...

 

I've been adding too, hoping it just hasn't had a lot of exposure so not many people know about it YET and the volume is from a relatively low amount of people trading it. Either way i'm still confident making a big bet on it it's just that how quickly i felt i should jump on it isn't lining up with how patient i'm having to be now

 

I saw an article about this when I did a little research awhile back when someone mentioned the stock. There’s just not that much of the raw material in the battery. I think it was something like a $10,000 EV battery only uses like less than $100 of lithium or something. And mining it can be pricey. So likely need much larger volume of EVs and other uses for large batteries. And I believe LIACF hadn’t yet found any on their properties, so it looked like it might take a bit if it was going to pop. But who knows

Well it already got a pop about a month ago...and they did announce they have found a potential way of getting Li out of Nevada....BTW we use Lithium +6 at work every day Chemistry...it's an internal standard for ICP MS

Let's see what happens tomorrow. For instance, TOL was up 2% yesterday. They went so far as 2.5% down today. I had made money then I hadn't. Luckily the big dip after open let me turn my 10 calls into 30 calls. They'd better go back up a bit by Sept expiry. lol

I know. They released the rumor 3 days ago and verified it 3 hours ago. I'm done playing biotech though. INO has slaughtered me.

 

It can get a pop for lots of reasons, tell robinhood about it and you have a good chance. And I know there are plenty of uses, I was just responding to why it might not be expected to automatically track upwards as the EV stocks do.

 

because Lithium is cheaper when mined by slaves...and until consumers demand cruelty free rare earth elements in their "green cars" with the same vehement insistence they have that their taco shells not be called trader jose because it's cultural appropriation...we will see no such pop

I think you may have stumbled on my new strategy. SJW driven stocks.

 

I shit you not there's an actual investment strategy that follows this. It's cancel culture stock trading. When you see a company attacked for some social justice reason and their stock goes down, you buy. There's a show I listen to where the guy does this and he's open about it. He made a killing off of the Papa John's naughty language at the board room issue. That was July 2018 the stock went from $54 down to $34 in two days and then by August it was back up to $54 the guy made a killing, like hundreds of thousands of dollars. That's the first time he was public with this trading plan. He then highlighted other times he'd done it and continues to do it and it's massively successful because when people sell a stock on emotion people buy back a stock on technicals.
