Who has on board air? I want to get a system now. Got stranded today. Luckily my cousin was driving by and had an pump. Patched my tire with gum and a tail light screw.

I'm not a "Californian" as in I'm not raised here. Lived in Illinois before living here, Texas, South Carolina, Georgia, etc.

 

Ouch, sidewall.

Viair is a good compressor a lot of people run and one I'd recommend if wanting to keep it cheap and easy.

I run co2.

 

How long does a bottle of co2 like that last you?

 

Also you guys think that tire is rubbish already? Too low on the sidewall?

 

Credit for doing it. But oh god that poor truck

 

I am at a loss, should I try repair that hole? I know its close to the shoulder/sidewall..

Compact and fast is the ticket. I don't like having to wait around at the end to air up.

Close to the sidewall should still be OK. Take it to a shop like Discount, they will tell you for sure.

 

A small family shop might fix it, but I doubt the larger chain shops would touch it. Repairs in that corner can be kind of iffy.

 

While that may be true, if I fall short of the goal, I still consider the act of striving a win.

 

Hawaii might have a Vulcanizer but I doubt it. A good Vulcanizer can work magic with tires.

 

Go get a plug kit from parts store, plug it yourself, and run it as a spare.

 

Texas plates - at least it doesn't have super pokes.
