    Thanks mate!
I'll be looking for an MT Off-Road or PRO soon - 20 or 21... (As you can see, I've sort of started...)
I won't feel so bad missing this one since I do not want an automatic... I am also still abroad so the timing would have been less than ideal (I'm likely arriving in 2-3 months).

Since you are a dealer... Is the hard pricing due to the current environment? (or is it typically this way on the PRO?)
Are you seeing inventories improving lately?

    Thanks again!

Great deal!! I'm in NJ and no dealers are willing to budge on MSRP since they don't have any on the lot. The best I got was $500 off.

I did go to Mt Washington (NH) 2 weeks ago with the family. One morning I decided to stop by 2 Toyota dealerships to check out what they had on their lots. The selection was a little better than NJ. But they didn't really want to budge much on price either.

Just curious what state you're in.

RI, one dealer said most in area were just hitting the lull in inventory created when the plant shut down bc of COVID,,,the dealer I am buying from said they have a pretty big supply coming in. And they thought it was probable the rebate could go up to 1500 to try and move it.

Largest dealer in these parts had around 10, and most had down payments on them. Smaller dealers were rotating between 3 and none.

Hey all, I wanted to share my experience. I went through Cartelligent which is an auto broker that cost $500 (pretty much bypass all of the haggling and streamlines the buying process). In retrospect, I would have spent less money total if I didn't hire them and just haggled by myself, so take that into consideration if you are considering using a broker. It is much less of a headache none-the-less, and since they have strong relationships with dealers, I was able to get better financing and not have to shop around with credit unions and what-not.

Definitely not the best deal I've seen but who cares I'm picking up my dream truck in 2 days!! Now I just gotta get those cool OEM led headlights for another $1500:spending:

You and I are on the East Coast. I guarantee that for 99% of us the SR5 will handle anything it confronts off road with no need for the locking rear. I've drove my 2005 in some hairy spots in the Adirondacks as well as in extreme places in northern Quebec where you better bring your own gas and water, just in case. Never had a need. Now I have the TRD OR and it is great but there is no question an SR5 like the one you have will crush any place you take it. As I have stated before, I have seen great drivers (far better than me) in Sports driving in crazy places and never skipping a beat. Now, if I lived out West (CA, CO and the like) I would probably want it just for my own safety and confidence but you have a great truck that will take you any where you want to go !

Can't wait to hear more of what you are doing with your new truck and where you are taking it ... !

I’ve seen some other CO & Denver folk post on here, at least one suggestion for Mountain States. Any other sales reps or dealers recommend that might be willing to negotiate a bit in the area? I know it’s tough out there but there seems to be plenty of the more basic DCOR in stock and nearing month end I’d think there’d have to be a few deals to be had. That said I’m totally willing to sit out a month or 2 and probably going to anyways. Thanks!

I'm in northern California, I've noticed a small dip in msrp towards the end of the month but nothing too substantial over here. I'm also willing to wait it out (even though it kills my soul a bit more every week that passes).

I was born and bread as a terrible negotiator, mixed in with an impulsive and impatient buyer and that makes buying a car not a great skill. Never knew this existed but I would pay 500$ in heartbeat to not deal with the car buying experience. Thanks for the rec and congrats on the truck. See you in the cement thread when mine gets delivered :)

Granted mine is a 2019 but my dealer had a ton of add-ons to inflate the MSRP... vehicle protection package, tint, door sill protectors, wheel locks

does anyone know how much the Costco program ACTUALLY saves?

This was from my wife’s Accord but same idea. They were charging $2000 for $360 worth of add-ons. To be honest, we did want almost all those things except for the Aquapel. If it didn’t come with tint for example we were immediately going to go out and put tint on. I don’t expect them to sell that stuff for cost or what I can get it for. There needs to be some markup so they can earn a profit but that’s just stupid. When I was negotiating the price, all that stuff just wasn’t even part of the conversation I just ignored it as though it wasn’t there and the starting price was $2000 less. From Honda accord threads like this one I knew what price I was trying to get to.

I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to be in the range of 8% off MSRP. I think it is $500 below their invoice price. But the only dealer that was part of the Costco program around me tacked on an extra $1100 fee that they made up and called the distributor fee so that negated a chunk of it anyway. But there have been plenty of people on here that have reported success with the program. It can be especially helpful if there is a large rebate because the rebate will be added on after the Costco discount.

Price is due to the demand for what I see, after the pandemic shut down we had like 12 Tacoma’s all sold within the first month. Since, we have try to keep up with the demand but it’s not possible. We receive around 3 tacos a week and they sell within a week or two. Some already have deposits on them. This was the case of the AG, however the buyer wants something else now. So he took the deposit back which made it available. I hardly doubt we will have it for more than a week. We had 2 white Pro’s about a month ago. They both sold within 2 days of each other. One locally, the second one to a guy in Florida.

do they at least include nitrogen filled tires to justify the price increase? Or maybe VIN etching? Or the awesome ADM benefit?

Nitrogen filled tires are a rip off, I would only pay extra for oxygen filled tires.
