It’s quite fun making things. I’m not sure what’s next.

I used 1/2" carriage bolts because I discovered the square portion fits nicely in the hi lift holes, so once I tighten up the wing nut, the square portion holds the hi lift nice and snug. I just ground the circle part into a square and welded it onto the face of it. It worked pretty well. The wing nuts I got from mcmaster carr and also work perfectly with the hi lift.

I think so, maybe 1.5". And used these in the rail. Somehow this was my first time buying the machined nuts like that. I've always worked around them because I'm cheap, but damn they are nice.

Unless there's a softopper specific one I didn't click on I'm not sure how that could be true. I like Randy's design because I think I could store rod holders in them as well. Gotta use up every square inch in an SB.
