Just took my cap off by myself using the sawhorse, jack, and pray method. 3/10 do not recommend.

That’s why I got a softopper this time. Although, I do think I may be headed towards a cap.

Ouch! I could (with effort) get the cap off/on my 1st gen solo. Not about to try on my 3rd gen. That said, I am thinking about getting some lumber and building a rack @ bed rail height that I can back up to and slide the cap directly onto. Could easily double as a canoe & kayak rack as well.

anyone interested in a September trip to NMW? obviously we would be following all the state CDC guidlines for entry to the state/testing, etc. those within the state have no issue.

I have vacation September 13th-22nd off for vacation I have an inreach mini, and can give coordinates for a campsite/meetup if you cannot make it in on a set day.

Ever tried getting out of the truck? I know it's not the "Maine" way, but boy is it a good way to hunt. Haha

Nope, just roll down the window. JK! The majority is road hunting, but we do get out into some alders and mixed growth. Also, we'll walk a few old roads that we can't drive down.

We are staying at a Macannamac camp on Spider Lake. A lot of our hunting is north of Churchill Dam.

Ah Southern Maine. (j/k) I hunt out of T15 R14. If you ever want to head up that way I can give you some areas to go.

I'll be heading from caribou checkpoint north probably stay near clayton lake, then head north east, through to forrt kent, fuel up, and head to estcourt, just to say I've been there. then probably explore some trails up there, see what I can find.. then head out.. my trip will all be dependant on fuel.. If I find a nice spot I may stay for a day or two.. fish for a bit.. maybe even bring my GMG pellet smoker with me.. smoke some pork ribs.

Scott, that gas station I mentioned outside St. Pamphile is basically Mon-Thur 7ish to 4ish, then Friday 7ish to early afternoon. It's cash-only, but they have ice and ice cream sandwiches in the freezer too (no ice on Fridays).

I explored a little bit around the Big Black River earlier this summer. Looks like a nice area for birds.

2.4" lift is installed. rides nice, should ride even better when it gets an alignment tomorrow...
Dobinson's MRA heavy coils up front with JBA High castor UCA's. rear has their 111R leapack... now the RTT wont be hitting my head as badly (soon to be getting a 14" MAX modular rack w/ tonneau brackets.)
