Honestly can't remember if it helped with scratches. But outside of the normal wear and tear, it looked pretty close to new.

Another vote for SofTopper. No need to remove to use the bed, and way lighter than a shell.

Oddly enough, chemical guys polishing compound knocked out the majority of scratches on mine. It looks mostly clear now but I can tell there's an ever so slight distortion to it. Was hoping that a final pass with the plastx will make it that much better.

Haha. Mine has one 2"X2" scuff but I've somehow managed to keep it pretty clean so far. That sumner labs stuff works pretty good

I did a stupid this month and hit some trails with the windows down and topper rolled in safari mode. Its been a project undoing the damage from that trip.

Pfft! I put on the seam sealer to cure a couple small drips. Went for a drive in a frog choker the next day and got a couple drip runs from the sealer on the inside of the rear window. Learned to love them.

That would drive me nuts! I'd be so irritated I'd buy a new panel lol

I thought about it. Esp for the tinted window.

I doubt that buffing would fix it, but it might. Someday when the scratches get bad enough. Doing great so far.

You know what's funny about this thread? MT guys ( :anonymous: ) get called out all over TW for this exact same business.

Yessir. And also, a solid and a screened rear panel. But, they won't substitute them on a new purchase.

In my mind, it is understandable as long as the OP doesn't take offense.

The utility is insane. I feel dumb for second guessing it and buying a roll-up tonneau in the first place.

I love the tinted rear panel. You can't see in from the outside without really looking close.

I've gotten pretty lucky w my taco purchases. Never really had to return anything or was unhappy, the ST is definitely in the category. But insanely useful

    Nice!

Even with the clear, it is pretty hard to see in as long as the stuff is black. I got a storage box and traction boards held down with ratchet straps. All black. They only seem to stick out if the sun hits them. My orange kayak straps pretty much glow though.

I have no illusion about security. OTOH, I do see too many hard shells running around with busted out windows. Crims suck.

I gotta do that tailgate mod.

I knew the tonneau was temporary since I was between a soft topper, shell, and then the wedge campers became a thing and topped my list. The dream was getting the fam out camping. In the end, I can't even get them to a rental cabin, so I right-sized my goals. Esp here, where every time I manage to go tent camping, it rains. ST FTW!

I have the screen one and I've never used it. I do want a solid one though.

Yeah. No pets here. If we did, I'd just clip up part of the side. Maybe for some camping way far south?

I could drop some $$$ on the accessories. :D
