Dont buy Aftermarket HL

I changed out my factory Chrome headlights with some eagle eyes Black headlights about 2 years ago. Well for about 9 months now I had moisture build up in my passenger side headlight and I dried it out once with a dessicant packet but everytime I got my truck washed or it rained it just came back.

Now both my headlights have moisture in them and its an insane amount right now. Super annoyed dont really know what to do,

 

should have sealed them before u installed them. :/ if u got them on ebay a lot of them will leak or get moisture in the headlights.

 

I have the same ones. had the same problem. I took them out. baked them at the lowest setting to dry them out. The resealed them around the edges with RTV and havn't had a problem since.

 

Yup thats where I got them, dont know how I am or was supposed to seal them

FYI that problem I was having with my headlights shorting out my amps was fixed by moving the HID power cable inside of the amps power cable

 

Glad you got that fixed. I pulled the headlights out. then removed the bulbs. Set them in the oven on top of a cookie sheet and a micro fiber towel with the lens facing down so that steam could escape out the bulb hole. then set the oven on low and let them bake for a couple hours. I left the oven door cracked. If you roll them around first then tip them over you can just pour out a lot of the water. Then when you seal them. Goop the RTV on pretty heavy. Grab some motor oil can be new or used. dip your finger in the oil and then smooth out the silicone. the oil will keep the silicone from sticking to your finger and will give you a nice clean smooth silicone bead. you will have to rewet your finger with oil regularly.
