any one else having issues getting the 04a61 files? I was able to download them to my computer but when I went to try to flash my truck, following the instructions from the ovtune website for the 2.0 update, I was told the files were corrupt by p5 flash. I also get a warning from chrome that the OVtune website is "dangerous" and contains harmful programs. Am I doing something wrong?

 

Should still be fine. A lot of tune files appear as malware to anti-malware software. So just press on.


Or someone here can share them with you.

04a61. I was looking to run a 87 octane, stock tire tune.

 

ha! the perf tune would have to be amazing to get me off of 1.05

 

I did not have a problem with the 04A61 stock tire tunes. I ran both thx and non thx.

There was some guy a while back that claimed OVTune is a very malicious virus, and turned in the tune and report it to one of the anti-malware companies.

 

I turned off all my antivirus. it was 72mb zip file for me. I'll attempt to re download it and try the flash again tomorrow morning to see if anything different happens. I appreciate the help.

 

It has happened to be before also, I just redownloaded it and saved it to a whitelist folder.

 

corrupt error means you are using an outdated version of P5Flash

 

Just flashed and reset LV and AT. Truck is idling now. Then it will sit for a couple hours due to scheduled meetings and I'll go run it.

 

Random but what are the chances that someone here is in/from the Reno or Carson City, NV areas and can tell me what inspection stuff they do for annual registration? From what I'd found on Google, it seems they do emissions + visual test? Requiring both sets of cats? Looking for confirmation.

Reno/CC are on my list of eventual places I may move to in a few years so I'm wondering. If I relocate within Texas, I'm g2g.

 

I’m flashed with the test tune and will be logging miles this evening with it.
