Man never heard of Tacoma Planet? Tried Tacoma3g for a bit but that site is dead on the east coast.

Alot of us in PA like it this way... Back roads to pretty much everywhere. Driving in Hagerstown feels like going through the "city." Although for me it's 80% backroads to get there (drive faster, I hear banjos!).

best time to be outside. Getting my winter gear ready now. Probably going to get a swag tent instead of a RTT

    Hey MD,

I sent an intro to the region this morning, new to the forum. Just wanted to say what's up to the local group, I won't likely post much just looking around.

Long time Tacoma owner. Intentions are to do more upgrades this go around going from a TRD OR to an SR. Only added bed lights and LED's so far, but suspension/tires/fog lights are on the short list. I'm not very mechanically inclined. I tow a 22 ft Jayco hybrid trailer.

Good morning, neighbors...quick question: What do you consider the best suspension set up for 80% commuter/daily driver, 20% off road? Thanks!

    Welcome to TW!

I’ve got half an Ironman Foam Cell Pro kit on my truck and the front feels good. Right now, without the rear leafs and shocks, I have 3” up front and think it rides well. That said, I’ve only put 20-30 miles with it on. Looks like it’s not on sale anymore but when it was the stage 1 was under 1500. Can find a whole thread here. They are adjustable and rebuildable. https://ironman4x4america.com/toyota-tacoma-2005-foam-cell-pro-suspension-kit-stage-1/

I have the Toytec Bilstein lift on 2 of my trucks. They ride nice on the highway and they handle the trails very well. I've had friends in my trucks tell me that the ride quality is so nice that it's hard to believe that they're lifted.

Thanks guys. I had to upgrade my 2006 TRD Off Rd around memorial day. I settled with an SR because it was in my pandemic price range, and pre-wired for much of what I would want. Compared to the 06' it was pretty dialed in anyway. I'm hoping to find guys that are upgrading better then my factory suspension, and get those new/used Bilstens as an immediate upgrade affordably and go from there with wheels, etc. My biggest complaint is the feel/gearing of the ride during tow but I'm breaking it in fast and testing it out. The transmission has me concerned a bit as is, but time will tell.
