    Lifted, Armored, needs more lights.
Given low profile I am guessing it's a bias tire (No steel belt to hold it together) all it takes is something to start seperating the tread and it comes off, Trucks use bias tires and that's why you see those tread sections everywhere on highways. It is a bit unusual to see an entire separation like that but for sure in realm of possibility.

    Light being on for weeks?

Low pressure is the #1 cause of tire delamination. Tire lights don't come on for no reason, you either had a failed sensor or low pressures. If the light was not flashing, just low pressures. If you Remember the Firestone/Explorer debacle that was cased primarily by low tire pressures.

If you take note of the 3rd and 6th pictures you can see evidence of a pothole/debris impact that was the final nail in the coffin. Look about 4" to the left of the hole in the sidewall

Dude, I stated we(I) checked the air pressure several times after the light began to light. All tires were at 31 PSI. Every time. Just checked several days ago. I'd understand perfectly if it had been low on pressure. It wasn't. Not until it failed.

Coincidently the PSI light on my Tacoma and my wife's 4Runner lit at the same approx. time. Mine were fine, bad sensor. The wife's had a slow leak which I plugged. I'm not new to tires, just never seen the tread leave the tire immediately after losing all pressure. And we haven't been filling it after losing pressure over and over. It's alway had proper pressure regardless of the light being lit or not.

put those colors on any vehicle and instantly improves performance, MPG, rust resilience, and horse power. Not to mention the cool factor!

When you try and get that tire warrantied leave that out. They'll still see the impact damage and blame that. So your out of luck unless you have a road hazard plan and they don't see the plug. Obvious impact was the final issue.

I see about 5 or so of these a week. Different manufactures. That Rav4 tire hit a pot hole but also had a nail. Pinch flat on both sides that was "only driven to the side of the road after impact". My guess is the 100% flat tire was driven a couple hundred yards in order to get stopped from the highway speeds they were traveling.

Can your wife confirm a pot hole/impact?

Daughter. Probably a pot hole and drove at least 150 yards before stopping.

Eeewwww, Those challenges are 3 years out for me.

So if she can remember the exact spot you used to be able file a claim with CDOT if it was a highway. County roads not sure how that works, you might be on your own
