One of the many things I love about my FJR1300 is the valve check intervals. Supposed to check every 28k miles. I'm pretty active on the FJR forums and knew from the collective experiences of other owners that only about .03% needed any shims at the first check so on my 2007 I skipped the first check but a friend and I did the check at 56k miles. All were within spec so I skipped the following check and we did them the second time at 116k miles. Needed to reshim 3 intake valves. Bike was at 127k miles when some asswipe hit me head on in TN totaling my bike. One week after the wreck I picked up a 2014 FJR with only 7655 miles on it. I put 5k miles on it in the first 30 days I owned. It's now sitting at 17.6k so about 10k miles in 11 months and we all know what a shitty year 2020 has been so far so my mileage compared to most years is WAY off.

Yep. I picked up the 2014 on Sept. 27 last year exactly one week after my 2007 got destroyed. The Void Rally was October 11 & 12. I finished installing my LED aux lights the night of October 9th and rode from my house to Bethlehem, PA for my start location. By that time I hadn't even run a full tank of fuel through it. My riding teammate and I left out on the 11th at 0700 from Bethlehem for the rally start and ended in Fredricksburg, VA less than 31 hours later after covering 1386 miles in 5 states. I rode to work most days the following week then left again on October 18 and my g/f and I rode to Lorton, VA where we loaded the bike on the Amtrak Auto train and took that to Sanford, FL. Unloaded there and spent the next week riding around the south and the Gulf Coast going as far as into Louisiana before heading to Jemison, AL for a FJR1300 meetup then rode back home to PA. Worked out to a little over 5k miles in just 30 days of ownership. SO far this year has sucked because I don't think I've put on 5k since January.

May have ordered this this morning. I'm definitely a lego nerd, and already have their BMW R1200GS set.

I have the BMW one sitting here in my cubicle at work. You should check out the U-Gears stuff. I have their chopper and the old school grand prix car.

I've kept all of mine since I was a kid and will buy a set every once in a while. Whenever anyone asks what I want for christmas or my birthday it's my go-to still haha. Lately I've been buying the Speed Champions, small cars that are like $20 but pretty iconic ones. They're cheap enough that I don't feel guilty throwing one in the cart if I'm at wally world getting groceries haha

Jealous. They were backordered on the Lego website when I ordered it. Says mid September it'll ship for me. I'm looking forward to seeing how they did the gearbox, a whole two speeds haha

I have some Hot Wheels 1st editions from when i was a kid (some as in 99/105 for example. Only missing a couple). New in box. I remember going to wally world with my parents and digging through the shelves so I could get one to open, and one to "collect". I don't think i ever finished the whole set though. And they're probably not even worth more now. But it was pretty cool that i did it back then. So much self control for a 10 year old..

I was getting a speed champion LEGO every time I went to Walmart. They add up quickly! Before I knew it I had 5 of them.

I showed my g/f the Lego Ducati when I first saw it online. With my birthday coming up if I went and bought it for myself right now she'd likely kill me. I suspect it'll either be a bday or Christmas gift.

All fine and dandy until your birthday/Christmas rolls around and you don’t have your LEGO.

    Seriously.

I have the Audi quattro S1, Ferrari F40, Nissan GT-R Nismo, and the McLaren Senna. Then today I threw the Ferrari F8 and Porsche 911 in with the Ducati haha.
