Well I don't tow or wheel a lot so I just got used to releasing the clutch and finding the balance between breaking to not kill the engine... But I might get it soon because with the almost dying engine the steering gets heavy

I use it quite a bit. Engagement is super quick too.

Mine is currently over on the left where the auto hibeams are (kinda useless, but here we are) but after using it, I'm def going to move it to the blank ECT spot.

Would have done that originally but I needed to get my dash back together before dark that day, and I had a gig to get to. Overall though, a relaxed 45 min install. Well worth it.

Yep. Gives me the option to drop down to 33's late on if I'd like. I'll actually be going with 34's instead of 35's so the gearing is pretty spot on given the manual transmission

Should be good. I really need more low end for where I'm at.

    OVTune should help with that.

Just got my truck tuned this past Saturday. Opens up a lot of the power that is in this engine

I've driven a couple of trucks with the tunes and I have to say I really wasn't all that impressed.

It's really just a gearing thing. I've got no issue for 99% of how this truck handles off road

Same, but more power available esp in lower gears is exactly what you'd want off road, esp in 4lo on a gnarly climb.

    But to each their own.

    It's valid to a degree.

But we also have to recognize there's plenty of 4 bangers on 35s rolling around fine.

Overgeared and under engined. I'd love an old 2TR Pickup. :D

Peeps down the road just fixed one up and hit it with AG paint.

Yup. I means it's not really a " I've read this on the internet" thing as much as I've driven all these trucks, with the regearing and the OV tune. That's how I gather my knowledge on stuff and base my opinions.

I try being polite to not offend others. Like I said. The tune really isn't my deal, the regear will (does) provide a much bigger benefit.

    Hahahaha!

I'm not jumping in the middle of that, 'cause I have a certain opinion.

Just that a 4cyl and good gearing can be goodness offroad. I'm envious for some of those builds.

Now, I could deep dive into why I did what I did, for me, but I have posted that more than folks probably want to hear. Including questions that I might want to ask you. But! It's allll good.

Not without gears they're not lol I do miss my SR5 and its rock solid 2.7L

For sure. But it also costs 10x more :D

    I'll get there. Eventually.

Yep. Which was the point of this whole convo. Power is fine, the gearing helps.

Oh I knew it was all bullshit. No idea how that dealership got good reviews. I'm done with them.
