Brembo decals for the front calipers came in the mail as well. My plan is red calipers with the white letter decals.

Someone local to me has their own Volvo 245 daddymobile, and revealed their presence next to this annoying as heck 350Z with a weedwhacker exhaust that buzzes around our neighborhood a lot.

Pulls up to the light, you can see them talking, then the Volvo opens the butterfly valves. Im guessing it's a feisty LS swap based on the lopey exhaust note.

I did that to a friend's Lexus. Took me all day.

Love it! Sounds like fun to me! There was a v8 volvo wagon on craigslist a couple of years ago and I was tempted.

Yeah. Not really looking forward to it. Last time I had the calipers off of the vehicle and I used a brush. This time it's aerosol cans.

It definitely was a pain in the ass. He supplied the G2 paint and clear coat...both aerosol. A friend of his cut out the Lexus decal.

I took everything apart and did it. So it turned out nice. He was super happy. Even paid me $250....he insisted.

But the car was 2 weeks old at the time. It had to be perfect. No pressure

I have rolled the quarter panels. This right side panel is still touching in one spot. I can't put a credit card between the tire and the fender in that one spot. I am going to have to work it some more.

The previous owner of the Daddywagon had little tiny flag stickers on the back windows. The tiny stickers have been upgraded to my larger index card sized stickers.

I have yet to drive the Daddywagon since it was downed by a worn through brake line. Not long after that I had the wheels done and I decided to paint the calipers. Well as I've said I have to clearance the rear fender some more, and now the starter is making a horrible grinding sound. I think when I did the clutch I didn't have the starter seated properly and now I have to inspect the flywheel for damage. I really want to drive the car to work a couple of more times before I tear it down again for the dash, console, fuel tank, park brake assembly, and air conditioning upgrades. Flywheel and starter is gonna run me $300 plus time for installation. Just venting. Thanks for letting me vent a little and thanks for the praise. This forum has been my go to over the years. Sure, the Daddywagon is on other sites, but I always start with TacomaWorld when I update.

I freakin' love those old Volvo wagons. Would love to have a pristine example with a 1UZ stuffed in it

Would you believe I purchased this same kit again? For some reason I thought I used G2 kit the first time. I saw this in Autozone and thought I would try it... well I already tried it. Oh well I still have the VHT aerosol caliper paint if I don"t like it. I do think this kit works ok, but it chipped in some spots which may have more to do with how I took care of them because you couldn't actually see the brakes with the steel wheels.

I rolled the rear fender that was rubbing. I think I may have just enough clearance now. I also had the car jacked up to inspect flywheel and starter. One oof the two mounting points for the starter was broken. This was causing the misalignment of the starter. The flywheel does not look good either. I have to replace both... again. There is a draw in the battery as well. I am going to try yo replace the battery at Walmart if it is still covered under warranty.

I could be wrong, but all the images I can find with my google-fu don't have that badge on it from the factory. Maybe its a used car lot badge that go removed?

I bet it's the one used by Koons dealerships.

I haven't lived on the east coast in 7 years, and the thought of Krystal Koons on the TV still annoys me.

Just looked, that's exactly the badge that's missing.
