Just an update.

The dealership sold the truck to the person who left the deposit. My search continues.

There's always going to be another one. I hope.

 

There is always hope and you’re right. Before I got mine(shipped from California), there was only one other Baja on the island and I would snap my neck whenever I saw it and drooled over it. The dude was kinda wealthy and the truck was always clean whenever I saw it. He lives off the main highway and I noticed it wasn’t parked out on his driveway anymore for a couple years and I was eager to find out who had bought it. Just a month ago, I actually saw it in a beach parking lot, still beautifully bone stock..man my inner feelings admiring came back out and was in love with it again. Even though I have one of my own lol

 

You always remember your first love.

Unfortunately I will never see that truck again. I didn't have a chance to say good bye.

A lot dealership in this area are buying Tacomas from California, rust free.

That really sucks. I knew you wanted that one and it was well in reach. Have you asked the dealership to contact you should another one arrive?

 

The salesperson told me, I got your number if another one comes along.

Everything was perfect about that truck, the miles, the appearance inside/out, the price was fair without talking them down

That's a bummer. sorry dude. Good news is, there's almost always a better deal out there.

Not gonna lie, I did what that other buyer did. Spotted the truck online, noticed they didn't realize it was a Baja, and not an Offroad model. Went in to check it out, threw down a deposit, then hammered out the details with em next day.

Happened way quicker than I expected it, and probably didn't get the best deal I could have, but it was still a solid find. You'll find yours man.
