Anyone have plastics knowledges? I think I'm going to attempt to make my own fender liners for the front. I did a little research and some folks suggested HPDE. I thought I could use a heat gun to form it, but now I'm not so sure. Anyone else have recommendations? (and yeah I know about that dude making them, but I'll never order from him again)

Why bother with heat forming? You don't need anything really think. 1/16 or 1/32 should be plenty think and flexible enough that you don't need to heat form it.

I thnk the factory liners are hdpe or abs.

Gave the daily a bath and used some tire dressing on it. Makes me want to put some on Betty white. Like lipstick on a pig.

Because OCD. I'm looking at 1/16 inch HPDE.

Those are some very interesting ball joints. They have a huge footprint. Reminds me of the JBA, which kinda suck for tire clearance.

That’s clever. It reminds me of the taco tabs from poly performance but slightly more elegant.
Don’t get me wrong, they’re great UCAs, it’s what I have. Just the bolt-in ball joint design means more arm protruding towards the tire. It’s really only an issue at full lock (that’s where I rub mine ever so slightly.)

Remember when I told you Id never damaged a tire while wheeling? I came off the bead a few weeks ago at flag pole (at the area where its super rutted above meadow knob). I have a feeling the UCAs may have been a contributing factor, because my tires were STUFFED and at 10 psi. The bead failed in the largest section on the inside of the wheel, for about 6 inches.

You managed to blow the inside bead? That’s impressive. Uca is a good guess. I’ve only ever seen/done the outer bead.

Best part of the JBAs is ball joints from the local parts store. I replaced mine with Pro-Forged brand.
