Thanks Craig, hope you're back on shore, home and safe. Been thinking about you with the hurricane.
8800 miles? Your Taco is still a puppy! What are you doing driving in reverse to turn back the odometer?
Drop me a PM when you get a chance and let me know what you're interested in. Have a great night!

I got home this past Sunday. We can’t make it back offshore just yet. The coast is a disaster with no electricity and no fueling stations for the helicopters. Be prepared for gasoline prices to rise with the Gulf basically shut down.

Picked up a hitchhiker on the way home today. Had a strong grip considering I hit it on the highway at 60.

Added Ivan Stewart badge. Not sure if there is a right way or wrong way as I’ve seen both. Was hoping to get it on the grille but it won’t fit

I hate to ask but can you report back on how you like your tires?

I had a set of the Hakkapeliittas on my BMW and they were the best tires I ever owned. I am clearly dumb because I wanted to try them on my truck but went with the Nitto Ridge Grapplers because I liked the aggressive profile. I really wanted to look at those new Pirellis but they were not available. All that said, really curious to see how you make out with the Nokians.

Edit: Love the Nittos. Second set and they are great.

I honestly couldn't tell you. It's been way too long since I did it. Wire it up, plug something in and see if it charges. If it doesn't, then just swap the wires.

Installed some custom bed cleats for the OEM rail today. Just kinda dug around my endless supply of old nuts, bolts, and washers until it worked, @ragofabrication clamps. Work like a charm if you're in the landscaping game like me.

Added a new Saints Off Road Bumper w/ 30” Baja S8, Warn VR Ev0 10k, and a switch pros setup yesterday. Still deciding if I want to add a pro grill and prinsu rack.

Caught some guys on my security cameras checking my truck and the wife’s car for some easy loot. Gotta love people these days. At least they didn’t damage anything. They were apparently going throughout the neighborhood as there were reports on the Nextdoor app about them. 203F77C1-7A9F-4A39-8A72-CD331C0F6DEF.jpg 1F68C5B5-0540-4610-B48F-1D8C00C0DAF6.jpg

    I’m running KO2 285/75/16
    1.25 wheel spacers
    Rough country 3 inch lift
No rubbing at all. I got lucky I guess.

I attempted the headlight mod today. Not going to lie the first one was a pain in the ass. I used a different video as a guide on the second one and it was so much easier. I used this link and followed exactly as he did.
    https://youtu.be/433jMHkPcoQ

    I cleaned the housing w prep SprayEE380AAB-05D9-4C83-B642-C9C3AF3E0991.jpgEE380AAB-05D9-4C83-B642-C9C3AF3E0991.jpg 26F441FB-74C3-4478-A69B-63B3CF56D54D.jpg F2A9DB6A-E368-4F29-9ABB-CC303292FEC4.jpg 4873185A-3C3E-40CF-BBE2-13E038EC684E.jpg 26F441FB-74C3-4478-A69B-63B3CF56D54D.jpg F2A9DB6A-E368-4F29-9ABB-CC303292FEC4.jpg 4873185A-3C3E-40CF-BBE2-13E038EC684E.jpg E81D3BC2-4C67-446D-AEE6-D4234E6E6276.jpg A9F03894-D3D6-4F3B-AF71-1E0E540F623B.jpg F4C9C59D-D6EA-4EF3-BB7E-E95A21D25730.jpg cleaner
Used the green primer which looks amazing on these headlights. If I owned an Army green one I would paint these housings w that primer and maybe clear coat them.

I used the black translucent paint on inside of the side markers not the outside
Black paint on the housing and clear plastic part.

The first one discouraged me as it was a real pain in the butt. After watching the video that I included, I’ll do it again if need be.

Now I’m just trying to figure out what sealant to use to put them back together

When I started researching my truck purchase, this site was one of the reference tools I used. It also helped me build the vision for what I wanted my truck to be, and to show some of what it could do.

Yeah I figured there was going to be a significant spike in gas prices. Mother nature can be a real mother. Pulling for everyone dealing with the destruction. Hopefully there weren't too many lives lost. One is too many. Glad to hear that you're home and safe.
