Well, as soon as my wheels find their way to my hands these will go up. Supposed to be soon, but every day that goes by with no word is disappointing.

one has to be careful when and where they take the pole out of the pitched tent. Wrong timing and location can create a big problem:anonymous:

Welp, just got a ticket for having my phone in my hand while driving... Had no idea you guys had that law here, but oh well. Guess I gotta get one of those mounts now for my phone. Does anyone by any chance have a 3d printer?
I wanted to do something like this, and was wondering if I could pay someone to make the 3d printed holder for me?

That sucks sorry man can't believe you didn't get a warning.

Search the forums; they got a few members making different solutions like you want. The overland guys mount their GPS and other shit that I'm not cool enough to have on them. Cool stuff one of them I remember is like a whole bar and you can mount different things to it.

Very true. It is best to know the person taking the pole out of the tent. It is also best to take said pole out of said tent inside of the tent. (<-- wrap your brain around that one)

@DIRT_MERCHANT just introduced himself on the "Share your Instagram" thread and supposedly has a 3D printing business. He might be able to hook you up.

I'm surprised there was no warning either, especially since I have a Texas license and Plate... he said he doesn't give warnings, but if I get the mount thing and show it to the judge at court, he'll drop everything.

    Thank you!

Be careful with 3d printed stuff FYI if you haven't used many of printed prieces before. I know zero about that guy and his printer but for what you're talking about I'd be very surprised if a 3d solution would have the durability you would expect. I haven't looked into specifics of products here maybe they got a solution just FYI. My guess is a lightweight metal of some kind would be easy to shape and mount /Would actually last.

I've been wrong before... I just can't find anyone who remembers when it was.

If this is your first offense here in GA, then you can purchase a hands free mount and save the receipt, the Judge will let it slide when you go to court. I would just let them know you are new to the state. Keep the receipt for court.

https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...t-anything-to-your-dash.553442/#post-18019582 - This is the best solution. Mine has worked perfectly, and install was easy.

https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/different-phone-mount.501452/page-2#post-16156487 - I printed some of these earlier, is that what you were talking about? If you really want that solution, I can print up a couple for you.

Looking forward to it. Also, looking for somewhere to hunt :).

I went with my cousin last year but neither of us saw anything after Thanksgiving. I think he joined a hunting club and I'm unclear if I'll be able to tag along.

That's what I was thinking, but seems like it's a thing and the guy who made them in the video has tested different materials used to make it to ensure the best quality and less chance of it breaking. Thanks for the heads up tho!

That's exactly what the officer told me after I asked him why there was no warning. Guess I gotta waste a Tuesday morning now, but much better than paying that fee, that's for sure.

YES!!! I would definitely pay you for the materials/shipping/profit for 2 of them if that's possible? PM me if you'd be willing to help a brotha out

I'll be in touch. Hopefully work life slows down enough to allow some fun time this year.

Too many to list. I’m lazy
FYI. First offenses, if you go to the court date and tell them you purchased a hands free device they will dismiss the ticket. Only for the first offense though. Have a couple of guys at work that did this.
