Thanks, I’ll be ok since it’ll be in the garage. It “should” only take a few hours.

I don't know squat about batteries but whatever is the best type for my needs/truck is what I would prefer to run, just like oil, tires, filters.

from what I’ve read the Tacoma alternator won’t charge an AGM battery fully, if I understand what I’ve read haha. I could be mistaken, won’t be the first, won’t be the last.

I was going to message you and see what you’re running your fridge off of!

I understand that I would need to jump the alternator or do a solar setup for a AGM battery, I guess it’s more so trying to figure out if I need one or not?

I run mine just off the factory battery for now. I think if you need a start battery now, get a start battery. Then you can add a second battery (AGM or lithium even) with a red arc BCDC to maintain them correctly, and put all your accessories on the second. At least that’s what I would/plan on doing. Just one option. I’ve also heard running an AGM with just the factory alternator with no issues. If anything it just won’t last as long. Or if your truck sits throw a battery tender on to top off your AGM.

I ran 5100’s for a while down in FL. Didn’t dissapoint. Good road handling but also held up the sugar sand!
