    That is about the same as I paid for my cement SR5. I thought it was a fair selling price. Mine only came with all weather mats, no other options. If if comes with the Dark Charcoal SR5 wheels like mine did or the optional black wheels it will be a very good looking truck. Congrats on the new truck!

    Thanks man. I've had it for about a month now. I'm really enjoying it. I'm sure you will also. IMG_20200801_174413__01.jpg

    So i again spoke with the same salesman from a few days back. about ordering a 2021 AG tacoma sport double cab. apparently he forgot our discussion from only days ago and tells me via text, " you can only get AG on the pro model" i again told him, i want a 2021 model and i'm of course not looking to spend $50K in order to get the color lol. he then claims his computer does not give him the option to do so. he said let's see what happens next week..... im considering trying another dealership when i get more time.

    not bad of a deal considering the shortage. I imputed your optioned out truck on NADA and it showed as $40,187 MSRP. I had an offer for a Black OR 4x4 for 38,000 with a MSRP of 41056, decided not to pull the trigger due to the color, I really wanted a cement.

    I would get my deposit back, that is way too high for an Access cab SR5. Can bet that it has a bunch of addons inflating the msrp.

    Nothing wrong with Black, I had a MGM Taco and cleaning it was driving me insane. Can't imagine trying to keep a black one clean. They had one with the same specs as the one I got offered but in Silver sky Long bed, it was gone before I could message my sales guy. Saw a Cement OR locally at a supermarket and loved the color. My sales guy managed to get a TRD ORSB 4x4 in cement with only the tech package and Led head lights and fog lights black bezel, no other add ons. I placed my deposit on it.

    To me, I don't know how you could spend $30-40K or more and not get EXACTLY what you want. Quite possibly the second biggest purchase I'll ever make in my life, short of only a house (and at least that tends to appreciate in value over time unlike a vehicle). No way I'm dropping that kind of dough just to get something "close enough". That's why I ordered it in exactly the color and with the options I wanted. I don't even mind paying a little extra to do so.

    MSRP = $43,6k
    Purchased price = $39.8k

    I had to go to Kansas, Olathe Toyota, salesman Brice, to get the truck, i wanted LED headlights & Advance Tech Package which this truck didn’t have. I can add the LED’s and a front camera. I really wanted Quicksand and I got the dual A/C and the rear locker which where top of my list, so I am happy with the deal.

    Well I mean you still have to work within the constraints of what you are given or what is available. I know since I got the manual I had to make sacrifices as far as no push-button start, remote start capabilities, proximity locks, crawl control, JBL audio, etc., even though I would have liked to have had some of them. But given the options I am able to control, including color, I got what I wanted and wouldn't have taken it any other way.

    Not sure where you are going with the parachute thing. Of course I don't care what color a parachute is, assuming it is one-time use, as long as it keeps me from going splat. But a truck's color isn't life-or-death. Now if I'm buying a parachute that I'm going to keep and use long-term (I don't know how long they last or how many times you can actually use them, so just go with me here), there's no reason I can't buy a parachute that not only will keep me from becoming a pancake but also has a cool color or design while doing it.

    Can you recommend someone to talk to at McGee? I’m only an hour from them. I was hoping not to cross state lines but if it saves me enough I’ll do it. They seem to have a bunch of SR5 access cabs in stock (what I’m looking for).

    MSRP on my SR access cab was 33.8 so the SR5 pricing seems about right to me.

    Yeah, you’re definitely right about the discount equation. I just put down what I normally do in my head I forgot that I just automatically convert it to a percentage off from there.
    As far as the additions you made to the template, what you did definitely makes it more accurate and is correct but I think in this case less is more meaning that it’s hard enough to get people to read anything let alone a long thread/post. I purposely pared it down in the hope that more people would follow it. I think increasing the length of the post to what you made would cause a lot of people to not read and follow it. Also, a lot of people are not going to go find their paperwork to look up information to post. I’d rather get the basics of what they know and just have them put that down. I figured sacrifice some of the accuracy of data to gain more data. Does that make sense?

    Beautifully done sir. Is the $1000 rebate included in the 7% discount?

    I got it! Got them down to 28800 otd for everything taxes titles all that Jazz. I’m impressed with the 4 banger. I got 26-30 mpg on the highway going 65 mph. I was nervous about it being a 4 banger cause everyone here bashes them but it’s honestly quite fine! Really happy with it!
