What is everyone paying for camper shells?

What is your MPG like?

 

Depends on driving and conditions. I just filled up and got 340 miles on the tank. That is mostly hwy driving with city driving mixed in. Average is anywhere from 16.5 - 18 per tank. I have never seen it go over 18.5 even when it was stock.

I still have stock gears. Have been looking into a regear.

 

ARE "Z Series", headliner, etc...

ARE and Leer dealer about 2 minute drive from work....Priced the same cap I have at $2900 and change.

I paid $250 off Craigslist. Absolutely PERFECT condition. Seller bought truck with cap, wanted cap removed. I pounced on it. Had several chances to re-sell for as much as $1000.

Several in the area listed on Craigslist now....$500 to $750 in mint condition.

 

Damn, I got the same options for a short bed Rebel and was around $3k out the door down in San Diego. I got quotes from a few dealers around town and that was the lowest.

 

New SnugTop Hi-Liner sport, dual vented windoors, carpet, fold down front window, pro lock. No racks. $2,600. Sacramento.

 

Allen the owner gave me a discount plus no tax because I paid cash. A win win

ARE CX with carpet liner, drop and slide front, slide and screen sides, rooftop tracks for carrier. Dealer threw in a set of led bed lights because he was too busy to wash the truck after install. $1750

I bought my cap at "Little Stream Vehicle Accessories" New Holland, PA

 

Just got quoted $2700 for an ARE V-Series with win-door, driver side toolbox, lighting etc... seems a lil steep even for so cal.

 

Which tent do you have? I like your setup and would like to know more

 

Leer 100XR with a bunch of goodies, $3496 OTD.

 

It was a smittybilt rtt, great tent for the money but my pup ended up around 85 lbs. so I sold the tent.

 

Man $1,750 is an awesome price. The truck cap looks pretty snug on your truck too, I love how it doesnt hang over the edges of the truck bed.

I was looking at ARE's website at their ARE CX models and they have 3 different ones:

So the $1,750 price looks like it was a hell of a deal lol. In the area where I live (South Florida) ive been quoted $1,926 for a brand new Leer 100XR (Painted + Installed by an authorized dealer) for the LB Tacoma model but right now Leer is closed so if I ordered one id have to wait until they re-open before they can manufacture one for me

 

Just ordered a Snugtop Rebel for $3k Windoors, fold down front slider, sportsman pkg, keyless pro-lock, led lightstrip, and Yakima tracks. More than I thought I’d spend but the warranty is what sold me.

 

I have on order a Leer 100R with the sliding removable front window for $1569 installed. This is in Missouri.

 

where at in Virginia? I’m up north and hoping to get one too.
