Both would be fine, tires are going to make the most difference for what you want

Personally, I say OR. Better to have the tools and not need them. That being said, if you want the hood scoop and don't care about crawl control or a rear locker, there's nothing wrong with the Sport. It's a very capable rig as well with a more road oriented suspension.

    It's a secret
The hood scoop is like a neck-tie...it has no practical purpose, but completes the look of a high end tailored suit.

The TRD Pro should be offered in that exact configuration, and throw in the utility package to get rid of the rear jump seats.

    The age old question.

The 2nd age old question, what is the biggest tire I can put on a Tacoma with X lift?

Thinkin' about blacking out my fenders and front bumper to fit into that OR crowd. How should I go about it, paint stripper or plastidip?

It would be a great seller. You're going to spend $10-$15k on mods anyway buying a lesser trim.

The 2nd gen Baja and Pro access cabs are the best looking 2nd gens, the Baja being the one I prefer of those two. 3rd gen Pro AC would be great.

The Sport suspension leaves much to be desired. I've seen those Hitachi shocks on a reel to reel tape deck that my parents bought in the 1970's.

Counterpoint - the OR bilsteins are surplus takeoffs from a 1975 Ford Country Squire. :duel:

I have a relative with a 2nd gen sport and he liked my 3rd Gen OR sport better. But then he upgraded his suspension and put a slight lift on it.

This is also true. But I did leave a serious response, just in case.
