yeah I pretty much told my wife the same thing when this all started, especially because our daughter was a newborn at the time and needed both of us...if one of us gets it, we're all going through it together lol. Plus there's no realistic way any one of us could quarantine in our house away from the others. Would just have to hope that one or more of us doesn't get symptoms

Luckily we stayed pretty much inside those first 2 months except for necessities. In some ways its more dangerous now because of how relaxed everyone has gotten. I mean I go into work everyday like I used to, but we wear masks (mandated) and I go through sanitizer like crazy.

I probably have no good bacteria left on my hands

Plus I’m in sales too and go everywhere. Where a mask almost all day, go through mints like nobody’s business and use hand santi like crazy too and still probably got it. So idk what to say about all it lol

well, hoping for the best...I mean you still haven't gotten the results back yet and it may just be a bad cold or regular flu. The onset symptoms are pretty much the same.

Yeah that's tough since you have to travel around. I'm fortunate I work in a giant room in a part of the building where everyone else got furloughed, so I'm by myself 99% of the day lol. Meetings are done through video

I'm rooting for ya, hopefully you bounce back fast. My parents had it at the beginning of all this shit and thankfully they're doing alright now.

I'm in the same boat and it's so shitty, I feel like we should be getting paid the extra amount to handle what's generally not on our plate, but obviously thats asking for a lot given the circumstances...but still, I can only drive myself into the ground for so long, handling more workload, before it becomes unsustainable. There's only so many hours in the day.

Weird times for sure but I'm hoping for some light at the end of the tunnel, otherwise I wonder how many people in our shoes are going to burn themselves out, and how it'll affect companies that think they're "getting by" by leaning so heavily on existing staff.

Hard part is going to be the companies having to understand that it's impossible to sustain, since i think most upper management is thinking, "well we're doing it now so its possible to maintain on a slim staff"

We have like 7 drivers here at Pappa John's, it's annoying having to wait your turn, when I first came in there was 3 drivers and there was always a delivery to make

Now it's sweep the store, look at order screen, 3 people in front of you, sweep some more, 1 person in front of you, do some dishes, "James your orders up", 25 minutes goes by, I come back and repeat

Papa J here I come lol. Has business picked up substantially to justify the 2x more drivers?

From what I hear it's dropped 70 bucks a night in tips wasn't the occasion but the norm, now Fridays and Saturdays I'll make a good 40 to 70 in tips

My first 4 weeks there was something funky with my checks and they wouldn't get cashed so in that time I was doing better with just tips vs my old job at autozone

Less gatherings, no Sunday night football at ricky Bobby's but individual orders are good as they always tip at least 2 dollars

Than you get the ultra rich dude order and get 10 bucks from them
