    Growing up on a farm here in the 50s/60s, the evening meal was called supper. During summer haying or fall harvest, we had several meals. Get up at O dark 30 do chores, have breakfast, work, big dinner at noon, work, around 4pm Mom would bring lunch to the field (baloney sammich and tea or koolaid), work till dark, chores, supper, shower, bed. Chores were milking cows by hand twice a day, and feeding livestock.
