    Good to know. I should add this to the first thread or add a tip section on my write up for the 5th gen 4unner setup for folks thinking of doing it for a 1st gen. I was just walking to a friend who has a 1st gen wanting to do it.

    yah considering its prob 50-60 to turn each rotor plus you said 70k is left on them, may not be much left to turn.

    Should not be an issue. Pretty sure 2nd and 3rd use the same brakes.

    engine swap (stuck valve @260K)
    anybody come up with a solution to decrease the typical 2"-2-1/2" pedal throw on 2nd generation Taco's?
    inherent of vacuum assist?
    also, if you increase piston size on the calipers, doesn't this increase pedal throw since more fluid is being displaced?

    Too many trucks and mods to list.. check builds
    Just a little info on this for the 1st gen guys.
    Someone has installed the 14wa calipers on their first gen tundra (same setup as the 1st gen tacos.).machining the ears of the caliper to make up for the shallower rotor (2.2-3mm) appears to work and I will likely be trying it on my tundra as well.

    I have (lowrange?) Extended SS lines, and these didn't require any modifications.

    I got some male end hard line fitting ss lines to play it safe. My old banjo bolt lines actually did work.

    What did you make your spacers with? I just ground a set of pads smooth to the metal.

    I didn't, I blew the pistons out to confirm piston height, the pads will wear into the backing material before there is any risk of breaking a piston seal.

    And since the pistons equalize wherever the rotor is... /end

    Have a measurement of the piston depth? I could measure it but I’d have to borrow a compressor to blow it out - I also had a bad experience with some cheap dust boots too which has me trigger shy with removing the boots lol.
