Morning Folks. Happy TGIF day. Have a great day and better weekend.

 

Closing on a new house today, wish me luck. The current owners were still moving stuff out late last night. Walk through is at 8:30. If they aren’t out, I’m going to be pissed off.

To WBF610 best of luck today on your hose closing! Always exciting in that stressful sort of way. I know with the whole Covid thing I've been working on my place and should soon be done with the projects I had hoped to accomplish.

Anyone have a white 3rd gen around state college? Bombing down the hills around 90 yesterday? Basic black graphics on the side...lol.

Afternoon folks!

Made a quick trip into "town" to pick up some charcoal and meat for the grill. Got home and wanted to mow grass, but what does it do? Yea, start spittin rain. Still mowed anyways. Now I hear thunder rolling and we're under a severe thunderstorm warning... wtf. Oh well, yardwork is done for the weekend.

 

We just got dumped on. It's letting up now though.

 

Not much rain here so far today - just a few light showers.

 

All went well, for the most part. Stuff shifted in the one pod and jammed the door. After messing around with it for too long, we cut a small hole in the door to allow access to free up the jam. Half my guys had to leave before we got it sorted out.

That screwed up my plans for sanity and getting things situated in the house. Either way, we got 95% of the big bulky crap in the house.

Went to estate sale. Belgium blocks 2 for a buck. Taco is loaded.

 

Good Morning Folks. Heading up to Reading with my son to pick up a transmission for his jeep. One in his jeep has only 263,000 miles on it and took a dump. Have a great day all.

 

Little bit soggy this morning! Oh well, we definitely need it as it has been a little dry. Not as wet as 2018 though. That was the year we had to have a sump pump installed in the basement. It was the first time one had been in there since it was built in the 50's, and hasn't run since. There's an old collection pit/cistern under the basement that usually takes care of it with an overflow. Grandmothers house next door is a different story. The old Zoller pump needed a swift whack with a hammer to get it working

 

I was in a food store when the rain hit here yesterday. The rain was literally horizontal. Shopping carts were being blown across the parking lot. One of them clipped my car.
