Hello all. Just bought a 2008 Tacoma Double Cab with the Off-road package (2 Wheel Drive) and after reading here it appears I have the rugged trail edition minus the rims.

Been wanting a Tacoma since 05 models came out and finally took the plunge. The salesman asked me how long I was looking for a truck and I said 5 years and he looked at me and said "huh"? They keep going up and the used values go up as well so I said it is now or never. Found me a low miles unit with dealership records and Toyota Certification and jumped on it.

Hanging onto my 1990 Toyota Pickup though. I only have 176,000 on it and it runs as good as new.

Lots of good info on here. Thanks.

Yeah I still have the stickers on it. That is how I found out about the Rugged Trail Edition. I thought someone had added that or tried to make it out as a Off Road. You reckon if I leave the Brokeback stickers on it that Anne Hathaway will jump in the truck with me? :D

I saw a posting earlier from you and saw you were from Moncks Corner and your name. I actually know a Jamie Hodge. : ) I had to go through your pics to make sure it was or wasn't the one I know. The one I know is a red head so....

Tomorrow will be my first day off since getting the truck and I might do a clean up job on it (wash, wax, etc..) and take a picture or two.

It is a good bit different now. My wife and I swore we would never send our kids there but it ended up that LMA was better than TSA and half the cost so we moved them from TSA to LMA. As did a lot of other parents.

The school has grown a huge amount in the last few years. I think they have about 1000 students now.
