Yay!!! Get rid of that poison pill!!! but will anyone pay a decent price for it? $20bil seems like it is over priced, but still 50% of what they paid...

I hope it helps them clear out some debt. Do you know if DTV was making money for them or was it a money pit? Interesting comments on SA. It seems like T is damned if they do, damned if they don't.

 

I still have 200 shares in my IRA. I just unloaded my options. It's a solid stock with tons up upside.

 

speaking of single deck...I was in vegas once at O'sheas casino before it was absorbed by the Ceasers group...It's right across from Caesers palace and was a DIVE...they had single deck black jack and it was like 3 in the afternoon and there was 1 guy playing...I walked over to see it was a $10 table...and when I saw the woman (very inexperienced because that's who works at these dives) dealing like a 5 year old I made eye contact with the guy and he gave me the "uh huh" look and I sat right down...You see this woman was so inept at dealing she was holding the deck at a 45 degree angle...not even dealing from a shoe. We could see EVERY CARD as she dealt...we knew her hold card every time...made like $200 in 10 minutes before they moved her to somewhere else and I cashed out...It was one of those perfect gambling moments.

I had the same thing happen at foxwoods once...I was playing the texas hold em 1 to 5 table...Before I sat down I had a hand signal to give my wife to let her know to come over and tell me "Honey we have to go the bus is leaving" so I can leave the table whenever I want without getting grief...a good plan to have. This story is better when we've had a few beers so the details can blurrrrr....
So I'm sitting 4th seat from the dealer and the button is at like 7 or 8...Just in the middle...and on the first hand dealt I notice the player to my left AND my right are both sloppy with their cards...It's a tiny bit of work to see the cards to my left but the guy to my right is just giving them away...So on like my 3rd hand I'm full on peeking as the draw up each card...I see the guy to my left has a black 6 and a red K...and the guy to my right has K A offsuit...I'm holding pocket queens...The flop is 6, 2, Q all mixed...Now for seeing what I have seen tells me that I am in good position..I know where 2 K and an A are....and I have 2 Q....I'm going crazy but everyone bets like $5 all around and it's $40 in...Now..here's where it gets interesting...Next card is a 6 still nothing close to a straight or a flush...nothing is possible from the table...K,6 bets, A,K folds....So I am looking at 3 queens, 1 A out of play and 2 K in play AND the only thing that beats me is 4 of anything..which means you need a pair on the board...well guess what comes out??? for the River? A 6...so we've got 6,2,Q,6...no chance at a flush, no chance at a straight and the only pair on the board is 2 6's but I know a 6 is in the hand next to me so nobody has 4 of a kind..So I KNOW I have the best hand...And then the River...an ACE!!! I know an ace was burned so there is no chance of pocket aces, or pocket kings...and no pocket 6's because 2 on the board and 1 next to me! There are 4 people playing for this pot and the $$ gets flying...I am trying not to shake because I know I have it, but just have to play it out...Next to me is playing 3 6's....
So finally were all betting the max we can and its time to show...First guy has pocket 2's so he has 3 2's (Crowd goes ooooh) next guy goes "ah shit"...and shows Q,2 for 2 pair...3rd guy who was very aggressive triumphantly flips over Q,6 for his nearly invincible full boat of 6's over Q's.....now the guy to my left shows his 3 6's...No I am last to reveal and when I flip over those 2 Q's to reveal my full house QQQ66...there is a FUUuuuuck really loud from full boat..and he starts swearing and the dealer has to tell him to calm down...The pot was $740+ dollars..on my 3rd hand...I give my wife the signal and she gives me the "Really? already?" my wife comes over and says "Honey we have to get going, our bus is leaving soon..." so as I'm coloring out the loud guy starts getting belligerant and saying "What the f$$@ you can't win and leave...give us a chance to win it back..." and the dealer says "Sir please calm down, players may exit at any time..." and he goes "That's bullshit!" and the guy to my left says "Hey buddy, don't come here with your rent..."
Something is fishy about the hands and who had aces and what not...but I knew I had the best possible hand...

I tip the dealer and got the hell out of there...best hand I've ever had...
and the story gets better every time I tell it

 

This happened years ago at a buddy's place. I'll keep it short. I forgot the game, I assume it was 7-card stud, although we rarely played it. I think it was because we had people there that didn't want to play Texas Hold 'em. Anyways, we play so that suit matters - diamonds are bottom, then clubs, then hearts, and spades are top. I am getting my cards and I am super excited. I can tell that this is going to be a tough hand because people are happy and raising like crazy. #1 is a happy guy because he doesn't have pairs. A low flush comes out first. #2 is happy, because he beat that with 4's over 6's. I slap down a royal flush. "what's up bitches!!!"

Then my buddy the dealer says, "huh, that's interesting..."



To this day I think he cheated, but that was a really fun round and I never cared. I was just happy I got proof it happened. Hahaha!

 

The SA articles on T seem to be extreme either way, it’s the best or the worst investment. I don’t pay attention to them, just keep getting paid by T!

 

Options I've definitely seen move a lot in a hurry. Especially when there's a wide spread between bid and ask.

 

What’s a good window manufacturing stock? They are sure busting a lot in California lately. MAS is the closest I can find.

What's interesting is as I was poking around I found that nearly ALL of these companies get gobbled up by equity firms...

 

So this Nevada guy who got sick with Covid a 2nd time 48 days after his initial infection was sick with a DIFFERENT STRAIN...that means the vaccine they are manufacturing might not (as with the flu shots seasonally) match the strain that's active when the vaccines are done...This has been my concern all along with all this "we've got a vaccine" boasting...you have a vaccine for the strain you were using to culture the vaccine...if it's not multi it might not work...

Oh well, they are only shooting for 50% effective rate. That would be more than enough to cool things off

 

We don't need a vaccine. We just need news of a vaccine. This might actually be perfect. Could you imagine the market getting vaccine news every year a few times a month for years? That might actually make me enough money to retire by 60.

Joking aside, we've known re-infection is possible for months now. Vaccine or not COVID will be sticking around for a while. When it mutates I just hope the genome stays close enough that DNA vaccines still work. BTW, INO's candidate is DNA driven. Now, I just have to not sell the shit heads before they recover. Being down 48.7% is way below where I normally draw the line. But, gambling. lol

No that's not what it is...in very simple terms it's dna of the virus bound to a molecule that your body recognizes as the actual virus...so you make antibodies to the dna molecule that are then able to fight off the virus. YOUR DNA doesn't get touched.

 

It doesn't mess with your DNA. It replicates the RNA of the virus S protein. That causes our ACE2 receptors to create an anti-body. IMO, it's way, way safer then normal vaccines which actually inject you with small amounts of the virus. So, yes, I would take it if I believed in vaccines. lol

 

This is where I am with SRNE....I had it at $8.15...sold for 2x up...and then rebought at $17...and now it's at $8...DOOOOOH!

I checked my account today and about $7k disappeared. It looks like Merrill devalued AAPL shares to account for the split, but didn’t quadruple my share count. I’m up over 100% on AAPL but it’s showing I’m down 48%. Scared me for a minute until I figured out what was going on. At least I hope I have that right!

 

If not, that’s a great price to add more at
