That’s pretty crazy. I just sold my Taco today for 1k more than I bought it for. Looking for a diamondback cover or clazzio seats for your 20? Have them in the garage in gc and was about to post them.

You are blessed. I’m not gonna tell you how many hours I was in the stand last year and ate my tag. I passed on some nice ones and never got a good shot at the one I was after. It was still a good season.

LMAO. Thats good.actually its a good place. after loosing all my spots from family land and landowners changing hands. to development i got in this spot my boy was in. i stay to be with him and his buds. i cant hunt as hard as i use to so its nice to have them if one gets in place i cant get one out as the hollows are rugged and thick, these group pics are on a ridge surrounded by fields. its our santuary. about 100 acres No Hunting. they always are in it till velvet drys and they start to build for the rut.these guys do manage hard.let stuff go that this older guy would bust. but im learning to let em go.small ones are easy but them 3 1/2’s are tougher.where are you located. im south of Harrisionburg but our land is in Bath Co.I goofed last year, had a buck chasing a doe,had let everything else go.he was heavy and one side looked like a long spike with a point on it,busted him for a cull.oops, his main beam was broke off at the G2,he was 4 1/2.would have let him go but it happened fast.

the one i shot had no spread. i figured 3 1/2 but we turn in a jaw bone to game commision cause were in a management program and they said 4 1/2 they age all and send a report at end of season and suggest how many does to take. we are our own checking station. we turn tag book at end of season with weights and jaw bones

To be honest im not sure on the points, scored as a main frame 8pt but the junk kept it from scoring good compared to what it looks like.im not into scoring like the youngins, when a good one is taken they got their pen, pad, and tape measure out.I just use it to know what to shoot.130 is our goal on the land we hunt, but alot are in the 120 to 125+ range.130 is alot of horn for here,we get the width and tine length but not as much mass.thats a 1 in a 1000 deer here, this is an old loner mountain buck with age

Got a lead on a few spots for elk. Loading up sunday hopefully for a day out with the family and some covert scouting lol. Pretty stoked for this season. We depleted our freezer a month or so ago. That was 1 Antelope, 2 Deer, and 1/3 elk. I have 1 antelope tag, 2 deer tags, 1 elk, and 1 black bear tags this year. Should make for an interesting year on the mountain. My wife will also have a deer and an elk tag this year as well but were more focused on deer for her.

Heading out in the morning to some Oklahoma public land. Doing some more scouting, setting a mineral site and camera, and practicing shooting from my saddle.

Had a good morning. I’m getting more comfortable sitting and shooting out of a saddle. I got another mineral site established about 50 yards from a small stream that has lots of deer tracks coming to and from it. Set up a camera and found a good tree to hunt from.

Need to practice carrying your meat out? Just take your 3 year old son hiking with you. Lol. He gassed out about half way into the hike. I had to carry him the rest of the time.

I do like that my son’s boots are falling apart. He has put in a lot of time prepping and hunting with me.
