Hey guys so i did a 2inch lift and got the K02 285/70r17 wheels. And I bought 5 one for a spare and the spare doesnt fit under the bed of the truck do to the exaughst support. It fits perfect on the left side of the bed (looking front from.back) but on the right side it's squeezing up against the support and is lopsided. Is there any suggestions of making it fit under there snugged?

I mean it's not the end of the world, could just go to a local exhaust shop and reroute it about 2.5" away. Wouldn't cost much and be pretty quick

I guess I just don't wanna break that support off going down dirt roads that really aren't designated dirt roads lol

They can make you a new support with the clearance you need, though, most just chop the exhaust off after the axle turndown

Just let all the air out of it. Put it in make it fit then fill it back up with air never going to use it in most cases anyways but that sounds like the easiest way

That's pretty neato right there. Does it clang and bang and make a lot of noise rattling in the receiver?

    I’ve fit a 285/70r17 and a 255/85r16 under my 16 and 17 Tacoma no problem.
Just pull the tire back a little toward the rear when you’re hoisting it up.
Also the exhaust never gets that hot in the back anyways.

Bet you get a great view of the inside of the rim in reverse.

You can actually remove the spare tire hanger and drill new holes for it about 2 inches towards the rear and reinstall it, ive seen lots of people fit their 33's in the stock location that way.

I'll take a look. I'll try the deflate way and see the max psi before it gets super tight and then if I'm not satisfied I'll do that. Cheaper than bringing it to someone when I have the tools to do it

Nope, It has a split wedge type fitting that after you insert the unit into the receiver you take a 10 inch extension and 9/16 socket and spread it open so it snugs inside the receiver. It moves a little bit but not much at all.

Ya it’s different. I can still see the shackle position and ground and also through the spare tire if there is something behind. I do keep the buzzer off because it is on steady when in reverse. I do not rely on it. I backup the old fashion way......using the mirrors.

Anyone know if you could fit either a 295/70 or 285/75 back there? I'm guessing not if 285/70 is already tight.

I'm sure you can if you deflate it like I did and or move it like a couple of the recommendations said
