I put my Elka 2.0s on last week. 700 lbs springs 1.5” lift as set by Elka. Purchased through the amazing and illustrious Headsrong. They are better in every way than stock. The ride on pavement is just as smooth but with no bounce, no nose dive while breaking and no nose dive into corners. Speed bumps don’t register. Totally smooth. Took it out to the Birds of Prey area where I live for some washboard and up to the North Fork (gnarly washboard) and bombed them at 50 mph and it was a glide. 2.0s are awesome! I do not rock crawl or do the Baja. Elkas ar phenomenal. Was told by Elka and Headstrong that the 2.5’s will be a bit smother and beyond that protect more from fade. The ones with adjusters and resis, I have know idea. Couldn’t be happier with my 2.0. Plus my mom loved them. She got it up to 45 without thinking about it. She doesn’t off-road. Amazing suspension

Kudos for spending some quality time with your Mom! It's little things like that that you'll both remember for the rest of your lives!

I can almost visualize her white knuckling the steering wheel! :)
Good for you my man!:thumbsup:

Back in the day, many, many moons ago I gave my prim and proper Mom a ride on my BSA. Aside from always leaning the wrong way she had a blast!

Now that I think about it she almost hugged the life right out of me, she was terrified!

It took me a while to get from 3000 to 5000. Once I retire I will only be driving 20 or 30 miles a week. Will switch to once a year after that.

Todays mod brought to you by a happier healthy Tacoma Engine. I was suprised at the amount of oil in my crankcase vent line. My truck only has 3600 miles on it so i can only imaginr the sludge build up over the years. Dont have to worry about that now

Thank you for the heads up, I have a set of those. They come in handy with big snap rings, like when you take apart a transfer case.

Finding a good window tint place are far and few between. I've been going to the same place for over 20yrs. The day we bought the 2017 Taco we drove off the dealer lot and straight to the tint shop.

That’s awesome! I’m actually been considering purchasing that. how bright is it? And is it a pretty simple install?

Vinyl wrapped the stock turn signals and fog lights. It’s a nice touch until I pull the trigger on sequentials and upgraded fogs. There’s always tomorrow!

Finally finished and installed the black headlight mod.
Honestly the first headlight was tough. It was my first try and I broke a tab along with the tab the mounts the fender bracket to the fender. I was thinking what the hell did I get myself into. Took me a few hours.

Then i watched another video which used the pliers I had previously mentioned and heated it up to the exact temp and time as the guy in the video. Took me maybe 30 min between oven time and taking apart. Did not break a single tab on that one. I credit the pliers for that.

Would I do it again with the new knowledge I have yes.

just take your time. Set aside a weekend. Opening them up is the most difficult part.

I did not use my headlights. I bought a used set to to the mod on.
