Hey everyone, new to that Taco scene. What are the best sites to order quality parts? My first purchase will be a rack an pinion with tie rod ends. If there is another thread with this topic places send the link. Thanks!

If you want to order OEM Toyota parts (the parts that were in your truck from the factory, with high quality but typically a higher price) there are a variety of sites that will sell them to you for much cheaper than your local dealer. People here seem to like Camelback Toyota, I've had good success with ToyotaPartsDeal and McGeorge Toyota. You can also try getting the Toyota part numbers from one of those sites and then looking on eBay with the caveat that you're not always exactly sure what you're getting...

If you want to save money but lose reliability by ordering aftermarket parts, you should use RockAuto. Very easy to find exactly what you need and usually gives you a few options for the same part. The downside of RockAuto is that it can make warranty issues harder to resolve than as opposed to just ordering through your local O'Reillys or NAPA, you'd have to deal directly with the manufacturer and not RockAuto (and if you go with an aftermarket steering rack you'll probably be taking advantage of the warranty at some point).

I did my steering rack recently and paid $500 for a Toyota one, could've gotten one on RockAuto for around $250 but it's an important enough system that it was worth it for me, even with a good warranty on the aftermarket ones.

Welcome! As tortoise mentioned, for certain parts it’s just best to go OEM- I agree with that. Especially steering racks. Most aftermarket ones are reman. I’ve also had great results with Boch Toyota online parts. Far cheaper than buying them from a dealer during service and genuine OEM.

A lot of sites stock the same brand parts (i.e. suspension, wheels, brakes, etc) so you might also find out what brand and model of part you want and then shop around
