With case. From my pocket to the wireless charging pad. Instant beep, turned blue. Stayed blue the entire ride home, but did nothing.

    Stock for now.. maybe
Could it be the wireless chrger/receptor in your phone is messed up? How long have you owned phone? Buy new or refurbished?
I'm sure you said already but I don't feel like re-reading your text but does it work well on another wireless charger?

I know when I plug in older stuff (3_5 years) into my newer plus the device will charge slow and get hot.. different volts or amps or something

Just thinking here, but could the distance between the charger coils and the phone be too great for an effective charge?

The phone has 3 barriers between it and the charger coils: 1) the phone case, 2) the charger rubber pad, and 3) the plastic slats in the molded insert.

    [IMG] [IMG]

Is it possible to remove the charger from its slot, place it on top of the platform, and try the charge as a test? That would eliminate one barrier (the plastic slats), leaving just the rubber pad and the phone case.

The Scosche does place its charger (and coil) on top of the platform, so just the rubber pad and phone case are the only barriers.

Not real sure what's going on my friend. I put the phone on there, the light goes from red to blue. My phone lights up stating it's charging then does nothing. but the blue light stays on. I will get the other version this week, and see if it does anything different as I really hope it does. As soon as I place it down it starts charging, and if I pick it up the LED Light turns red. If I put it right back on it lights up blue and starts charging again, showing what the current battery percentage is. After a few minutes I notice the battery percentage going down and not up as it should.

It's sounding like your phone is trying to pull the charge but it's not, whether it be the distance from the phone to the charger or the chargers ability to charge at the distance of your phone. Which could also be the reason that the lights is going blue. With wireless charging the greater the distance from the charger the more heat is created. Would be interested to hear how your phone does when you just put it on without the case first.

Thanks for that man, this is totally something that I'm doing because I enjoy it and wanted to share with everyone else not to rival against a company. The whole reason I even started this was because I enjoy making things and honestly didn't like the way the scosche looked.

Your kit looks much better than the other, to be sure but I think I am having the same issue as Unchained. I had my iPhone on the charger for about half an hour and I don't think the charge level increased.

Thanks Chuck! By chance are you using a large case as well or anything that maybe would impede it like running heavy apps or anything?

Sending you a PM to confirm how to do this.

These are all reasons why I prefer yours. FWIW, bench test with both mine and my wife's Galaxy S10s seemed successful. Just need to confirm how @Unchained 5150 got the sockets out without disassembling everything...

EDIT: Forgot to mention, again, that yours is the only one made for 6MT owners. The big company couldn't be bothered. THANK YOU!
    +1. Much cleaner looking.

Thanks. I don't remember seeing the manual mentioned, just the product comparison. Appreciate you reviving that info.

I guess you'd call it a "large" case. It's the Unicorn Beetle case. No open apps, I always close them.

I will await the other version and not post anymore until I have installed it. My goal is not to shit in the thread but with every new design comes flaws and bugs (3rd Gen) as an example come to mind. I have zero apps running on mine and the front of the phone says wireless charging while it's on there. Maybe it is completed a distance issue, but I'm not going to take my phone case off every time I need to charge it. I'll go for a ride in a bit with the phone on there without the case and take screen shots of before % and after %

So took a 1/2 hour drive with all apps put to sleep and no case. Phone was at 49% at the beginning, then at the end it was at 41% not sure what is going on here.

So I took the charger out, plugged it back in so the charger was in top. Took 2 screen shots and the % never moved.
