Tested the AliExpress compressor today on my 265/75-16 (32") Duratracs. Each took 45 sec to be inflated from 15 psi to 32 psi.

The whole kit with carrying bag weighs 22 lb. Gallon-sized washer fluid jug for scale:

Total cost to my door was $360 CAD including UPS shipping and brokerage fees.

Source: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32844083327.html According to the seller, be sure to select UPS Express shipping option to avoid the parcel getting backed up at port (thanks corona...). It arrived 11 days after ordering.

Great air up time on that unit for sure.

Now we see how long it lasts. How does the quality of the unit feel? Last a few years or just like cnd tire cheapies?

Why did you choose to go this route over some of the more popular/field-tested options? It doesn't seem to be any cheaper

highly recommend looking into new lowers or ensuring you have new bushings ready to go in. Just did a siniliar mod for @Manfred and the old cams had to be cut out. We replaced with all new lowers but can get new bushings for your existing LCA’s. The white line bushings on Amazon are $180 and have some good reviews on tw.

Not the same. 2nd gens have a different bolt size, but Bison makes a kit too: http://www.bisonoffroad.com/toyota-tacoma-05-15-camkit/

Can also check poly’s kit too. Only has 3 positions and is more expensive. Always good to have options though.

Didn’t know if the bison kit when I bought, but would be interesting to compare the thickness of the cams.

Way better than the Cdn Tire cheapies. All-metal construction except the handle. Considering the short run time (~3 minutes per wheeling trip) it should last a few years  Have you ever tried the Smittybilt 2781? This is basically the twin-piston version of that, probably built in the same Chinese labor camp.
According to the Australians, it's slightly faster than the $1000 ARB twin (go to 24:19):

Its too bad no one makes a kit for a belt driven compressor for the tacoma.
I think you did good with that buy.

But like a wise man said... let's see longevity of it and only time will tell that.

But @19Canuck had the foresight to dunk the driver's side, leaving the air intake above water.

what does this even do? replace the rounded alignment tabs with straight cut ones?
i'm assuming it "locks" the alignment in place by forcing us to be set to presets on each side, while the frame tabs hold it in place - but what happens if we need to fine tune it? are we shit out of luck?

would we also need to concern ourselves with a failure point in one links to the upper control arm or something? since there is no give down at the bottom - i assume the UCA might see some more loading?

Once you get adjustable UCA's it won't matter. It will hold the LCA settings in place though. Or I don't understand something... Anyways, a cool thing to have even on mall crawl....

Yep. You end up with effectively 3 positions per cam bolt. If you plan to run these, you should have SPC/Mevotech UCAs to be able to make fine adjustments from the upper ball joint.

The UCA sees lower loads because it's much higher on the spindle, so it has more leverage relative to the tire contact patch. No issues there unless you jump the truck often, in which case Total Chaos sells double-shear kits.

So because i have nothing adjustable up top yet - i have no reason to get this then from the sounds of things. COnceptually sounds great, but i won't do me any good until i start looking at suspension upgrades again..
