Picking up my new Tacoma next week and i will be putting on either the Goodyear Wrangler DuraTrac. Or the BF Goodrich TKO. I don't and won't do any other mods to the wheel well like trimming. Spacers. No lift kit. Nothing!

Just the rubber. I would like to fit not so much as the biggest tire i can stuff in there, More like the biggest tire i can stuff in and be 100% good for clearance. I live in western Alberta in the country. So snow. gravel. not much mud. I have a Side xSide to rip the hell out of the trails so that not my objective for this truck.

The TKO's come in a lot more size options but the ideal size may be in the Dura Trac

    Thanks

265/65/17 Is stock tire so without doing anything To the truck use a 265/70/17 Tire will fit.I went with Toyos R/T looks Great! & works Great! As well

265/70/17 Load C ko2s. Great tire, silent on hwy yet great offroad. Looks amazing as well, none other AT tire offer such beefy lugs on the sidewall.

The Toyo RT side wall looks even Better in my Opinion.

Looks good yes, but its not beefy. The side lugs on ko2s are like 3/8" thick. Ive looked at all other AT tires and mone of them offer that.

I love that! I'm getting the black as well AND going to get the factory rims dipped to be solid black as well as the black out lettering. That pic is a great representation of what i'm going for.

If everything left completely stock, going from 265/65/17 to 265/70/17 should result in bigger tire diameter, wouldn't that affect speedometer? in theory the truck will be slightly taller, but there's no need to adjust suspension to compensate for that?

    thanks in advance

No, you are fine. You will not notice a difference in the speedo. But you will notice a better look and your truck will sit 1/2 " taller.:)

Thanks. Did you try any other size then settle on 265/70/17 Or just say screw it, I am using the265/70. Some tire places. good ones will bring in a couple of different sizes mount one on the front. drop the vehicle and cycle the steering lock to lock. just to see. My buddies tire shop would do that years ago. But i bought lots of stuff from him

I realize I have a 2015 TRD Sport but going to 265/70/17 from the 265/65 I rub the UCA at full lock. I’m not wild about that but am living with it.

The 265/70/r17. Seems to be the one. I would be lying if i said I didn't run 265/75/17 through the calculator to give an inch lift. But it is 7% out of speedo calibration and further more, Nobodybmakes that size!

Looked at it myself, and ultimately decided against it for two reasons - higher chance of rubbing and way more expensive. The 265/70's were actually cheaper than stock size.
