    Thanks.

The reviews are kinda strange. lots of the are in Mexican or some other foreign language. One said they could get the letters off the backing. Did you have a problem with this? Or any other problem?

I came very close to finishing the interior. Still need some switch rearranging and a few more switches ordered and the black sticker for the glove box lock.

But I did get all of the gunmetal grey painted cement and all the chrome dipped black. The chrome steering wheel emblem, and 4x4 and mirror knob trim rings also went cement.

I used to pressure wash the engine bay in my Sequoia on a regular basis. I had to let it sit for a day afterwards or else the dash would light up like a christmas tree. Just turned 4100 miles on the Taco so it hasn't gotten dirty enough to wash yet.

    Thank you!

The emotional recovery from the gauge cluster will take much time and much beer.

I still pressure wash mine on occasion and to date no issues afterwards. It does need a real good hand washing though. I need to go to the auto parts store and buy 1 or 2 of those wash mits so I don't come away from the engine compartment bloody afterwards.

Tested the AliExpress twin compressor today on my 265/75-16 (32") Duratracs. Each took 45 sec to be inflated from 15 psi to 32 psi.

The whole kit with carrying bag weighs 22 lb. Gallon-sized washer fluid jug for scale:

Total cost to my door worked out to about $275 including UPS shipping and brokerage fees.

Source: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/32844083327.html According to the seller, be sure to select UPS Express shipping option to avoid the parcel getting backed up at port (thanks corona...). It arrived 11 days after ordering.

    Pro tip:

If you think you’re being smart and pulling the horn fuse before doing a steering wheel emblem overlay, don’t be dumb and forget to put it back!

Faster to just disconnect the battery, also mitigates airbag risk (however unlikely it may be).

I lightly power wash my engine bay about 1 per month or so. I throw a bucket of soapy water over the top of the engine, lightly brush the plastic covers and stand about 6' away and rinse. Then just leave the hood up for 1/2 hr to dry out. Never had an issue with starting or electrical anomalies.

I use a 4' brush for washing the Taco and engine bay. Less bending over and excessive reaching to get to the middle of the roof and tonneau cover.

The only issue I had was one of the Toyota logo emblems had a section where one of the center cutouts was still attached to the main logo by about a pinheads amount of material. Was not a huge deal for me as I was using a razor blade to pull them off the backing anyway, so I was able to just cut that small portion that their cutting machine didn’t get fully. I will say the wet method that they provide in the instructions is the only way to get these placed correctly. Absolutely no way to just place these dry and not screw things up.

Im not a fan of pulling the battery unless absolutely necessary. I’m always concerned about finding which settings I have to reset and sometimes I’ll loose my trip odometers.

I find the only settings lost are the climate control airflow positions. All the radio presets remain. And the truck doesn't die the first time you start it like 2nd gens do. :notsure:
