I made a very big purchase today...I’ll just call it an investment.

Spent 4 hours in Guitar Center and played every guitar. Just could not keep this Martin D-28 out of my hands. I swear it makes me a better player. Best sounding guitar I have ever heard.

Very happy to have walked away with it and one day I’ll pass it onto my kid (but probably not)....

Definitely was a chunk of change...I've been searching for an older D-28 but hadn't found any that I liked.

If something pops up in the next few days I'll take this one back, but odds are low!

Only guitar I didn't get to play yesterday was the HD-28...So today I'm going to stop in a different GC and try it out. So far though...man oh man, my fingers haven't hurt this bad in a longgg time!

Nice! Never played one myself, but I've heard a couple. Love their sound, very rich/full...

So I think the heat and humidity we had the last few weeks fucked my acoustic up good. The neck looks pretty bowed, and the action is sooooo fucking high it’s miserable to play right now. Might have to try and adjust the truss rod myself

I always keep my guitars in a hardshell with the humidity bag in. CA screws up guitars in summer.

I don’t have any cases for my guitars. But it has me thinking about getting one now at least for the acoustic

Do it. I would get a hard case and leave a humidifier pack in all the time.

I use the maintain pack. One inbetween 3&4th strings, one under the neck!

Ya, cases are mandatory for me. Our seasonal cycles are radical here. I only hydro pack in winter months when humidity dips below 40%. Summer humidity not an issue for guitars so much (so im told)

If your top is bowing, get a dental mirror and a small flashlight and take a look at your cross member bracing inside thru the hole. Sounds like the braces are delaminating from the top underneath
