because thats financially smart... I mean.. a Sears home commands a premium these days...

 

Depends on who buys it, the guy who's at the end of his budget just with the land will want to keep it. The person who has enough money to get what they want will tear it down. No one really wants an old home, they're tough on expenses, especially where you are. It's a bit better in dry areas like the southwest I guess.

 

My home was built in 1880 using old growth Bull Pine, Cypress, Chestnut, Cedar and Hickory.
New homes built using Spruce, OSB, PVC, Styrofoam, Vinyl and chemically treated paper products won't stand the test of time.
Nobody wanted to by this house before me because they didn't know VALUE.
