I have now changed my diet this week, again. (slightly).

135g carbs, 130g fats, 250g protein. Body weight is 200 right now. Do not want to drop lower.

I am also going to Include a refeed meal in there once a week on top of a cheat meal. Calories are just too low for me to not low weight at this diet.

Officialy lean enough I can't do stomach shots anymore. Even with those baby insulin needles (how I administrate HGH). Gotta move to the ass lol.

Its funny you say this. I was getting into stair climbing and was doing quite a bit of it when my knee injury happened.
I have never had any previous knee issues. I wonder how much that was a contributing factor. My knee just blew out randomly one day though, there was no pain or soreness to warn me something was wrong so who knows.

I did an 18 mile trail run this morning. I took the Lone Peaks for a spin the first 10 miles. It took about 8 miles before I felt like my calfs (calves?) were working harder.

I love the shoes though. Your feet can move so much more freely, which for trails to me is so much better.

I have heard people complain they can more easily roll their ankle in these kinds of shoes, and after today I believe it. However I have tank calves so its not an issue. If you have more delicate ankles these shoes may not be ideal for trails.

Stairs are really bad. Any time we do hikes, if there’s a part with stairs and just an incline right next to it, my girlfriend always will do the incline for the exact reason of what happened to you. Lots of people get that same injury doing stairs

@PackCon this! We do them in the academy because it’s “tradition” but it is REALLY bad for you. Our youngest guy was 20 and a soccer player, but after the first week, his knees were hurting. I was one of the few people who had no issues on the stairs, but I also did a lot of recovery work to avoid soreness (rolling, icing, Epsom salt bathes, stretching etc)

even walking stairs hurts at the moment, so the academy might be a little more interesting this time around ha!

Holy shit, thats like keto to you lol

I wanna know if a guy like you feels fine in the gym everyday at 135g of carbs a day.

    Apparently it is.
I didn’t feel I had an issue with it but maybe that was a silent contributor

    Is that the reason?

I wonder if its an issue like people have strength imbalances, do stairs and that causes abnormal wear on the knee joint.

I’m struggling with stairs as well. I can tell that knee is trying to cheat to get me up the step. My quad just doesn’t like to work anymore.

I’ll probably avoid using the stair stepper as liberally as I was previously. Bummer cause its a great lung and heart workout.

I’ve been walking hills. Steep hills. It’s helped a little. Just come down slowly. I walk up them at a pretty quick pace. Hoping to be cleared to run (again) tomorrow

Thats what I did. Tons of walking. I got a backpack and kept adding weight and I’d go on my TM with the incline jacked up (that way nothing to walk down lol).

I hope you get cleared tomorrow. I can’t imagine being 10 months out and still not 100%

I felt really good last week. Wasn't as 'muscle fullness' , but felt good, and that's what matters right now. We'll see what it does. I still have my intra carbs to help.

Also, only 50g are actual "carbs" the rest comes from the veggies.

When I was keto there was a performance limit compared to carbed up... but as long as I was able to push myself and give the same effort as I was with carbs I had no issues with strength and hypertrophy.
I think losing a little bit if that top end performance as more an issue if I was pure strength focused. Since a lot if that is CNS based how much you lift matters, whereas just for hypertrophy gains it doesn’t. Hence why a lot of keto powerlifters cycle.

My workouts now start high intensity in the beginning of the week then move to volume later in the week. I bet I could taper my carbs and be fine. I mat play with that

Has anyone here had spouses or family that have asked you not to participate in meets or go to the gym because of COVID exposure risk?

Nope. We don’t give a fuck about covid. We’re doing what we can to continue living our lives the way they were. My mom was paranoid about it at the beginning now she doesn’t care anymore either.

My buddy and I are planning to go ahead with a trail 50k in Oct. Theres a small group at our work that does ultras and two guys were set to run the 100 miler in Oct. Their wives asked that they not go because of the risk.

My head would spin off into outer space if my spouse asked that. Especially for a 100 miler that takes at least a year of prep and requires that you have a support crew.

Like I'm not sure how I would respond to such a request. o_O

I would think they’d be more worried about going to the grocery store or carrying out day to day tasks in public rather than a 100mile race where everyone will be spread the fuck out outside

Ffuuucckkkk I am ready to lift heavy shit.

    Today:

    6x4 back squat (light)
    5x4 front squat (light w/ 3ct pause)

Then lots of accessories. I definitely feel the volume working though. Everything is feeling like a feather at this point and I haven't worn a belt for anything.

Edit: also weight still dropping slightly. I am averaging about 1-1.5lbs per week lost.
