Kinda oddball, but does anyone have a doctor's recommendation to use at home lumbar traction? I've got a Saunders unit that I can't use and I want it out of my way. Make me a reasonable (no clue what that would be) offer and come get it.

Same here. I've got the AFE Stage II so that K&N can kick rocks.

 

For me it’s a bit hard to picture, with all the loaner tools available and my current meager but appropriate tool collection and access to the internet means I do almost all my own work in my driveway. If I didn’t have a driveway I’d probably drive it somewhere rural in a lot with cell phone service near an auto shop.

I’ve done two sets of coil overs using the truck as the ‘compressor’. Although I am taking the party line here and not officially recommending it there’s no reason to pay garage fees if you are willing to loan some tools from the auto shop and spend some sweat equity.

Do y’all just not like K&N’s or is there a problem with them? I bought this be because I was having to replace the regular one too often.

 

They don't filter for crap and the oil makes its way to places you don't want oil.

AFE makes a dry filter you can wash but it’s not oiled. That’s what I run. Even then the k&n isn’t too bad just don’t over oil and keep it clean

Nice! I bought it many years ago because a member was selling it for way below retail. I know they don't do much performance wise but I love the sound at higher rpms.

I ran their intake when I had my 1st gen and enjoyed the noise factor of it but not really so the oiling part. It was always "Is that too much? Too little? That's my only reason I went with dry filter vs oiled with my 2nd gen.

I mean you could use the k&n, but skip the oil. It's prone to letting the oil get sucked through and ultimately deposit on your MAF, affecting how the ECU reads conditions during closed loop, along with everything else on its way to the combustion chamber. However I think that the oil treated filter media is the key to it working properly.
