When you go to the gas station, just remember that all the pumps draw from one big tank, so just get the cheapest grade. If you notice any difference with higher grades, it's just the placebo effect ;-)

Might get some pinging in your straight pipes.

Effect on train horn and truck nuts will certainly be deleterious.

    Add aftermarket aromatic aromatherapy.

    87. I've found I get worse MPG when I used Premium. I don't think this is some sort of issue with my truck, it's an issue with the driver. Whether it actually runs better or not, I'm still up in the air on that, but I drive it like it runs better. So, I stick with 87.

So all you 91 octane people, when you're at a restaurant and they ask would you like still or sparkling water, what do you choose?

I'm no so much concerned with the octane, as in trying gas with no ethanol. Where I live, 'premium' is the only grade available.

You know, you're right. Shame on me.

So only 91+? That's interesting. Usually if there is only one grade available, it's 87 (or slightly lower due to elevation) because it's cheap and more readily available.

Same here...at 6700 feet, higher octane is not getting you anything but broke.

I've got a supercharger and I put 93 in it. Otherwise I'd be running 87.

Not Taco related, but I used to have an 01 Audi TT with a tune that required 91. At the time I was also delivering chinese food on the side, in a very rich area. At one point I was paying over $5 a gallon. Still made a profit, but jeeze did filling up hurt
