Yea no kidding. The miles till empty is only until the gas light comes on. There's still 8-10 gal in our tanks when that happens. According to the onboard computer I'm averaging 18, according to fuelly I'm averaging 17. Not much better, but 16 sounds so bad haha I love the range this tank gives us. Would have loved it even more on my old 2.7 taco. Thing would have run a month straight!

0mi is not zero left. Once at 0 DTE, you're in the reserve and it is up to you if you want or need more range. Just a fact that Tacos have a 21.1gal tank and can use all of that volume if the driver so chooses.

My maximum fill up was 20.7gal.

I don't pay attention to the number when I fill up. All I know is, whenever it hits zero, I still have about 2 gallons / 40 miles left.

17 is good for a 5.7l torque monster. One thing to check is the actual odometer reading over a distance. I was dumb and didn't check that with the stock tires for a comparison. But checking several times with the larger AT tires, I am showing a 5% error that I correct for since then.

The computer on mine was off by 1mpg also until I did a learned value reset. Since, it has been within 0.2mpg.

Yea I go by fuelly for the true milage since it goes by true miles driven. I'll take the milage all day long.

Yeah. I've been using fuelly for a long time. It helps spot issues in advance, esp on my finicky bikes.

Running to empty is not good for the truck .. I usually fill up at 1/4 of a tank .

My 2017 would get 630km on a full tank displayed on the dashboard.

my new 2020 on a full tank only displays 580km to empty. What’s up with that?

Very odd seeing as it doesn't seem to change depending on driving habits. You'd think they'd all be the same but nope. Your guess is as good as mine man.

The 2020 came with KO2 tires and the 2017 had stock Toyo tires, think that could be why?
