Floor Mats: Toyota or Weather Tech. Or something else ?

Just looking to see what holds up the best. Sledding. Quading. Getting in with not clean boots a lot! What is everyone’s experience after say a year or 2.

 

Weathertech holding up well after 3 or so years of similar abuse as you described.

 

Husky

 

Husky X-act fit. I've had Weathertechs and the Toyota mats and the Husky's are superior IMHO.

 

I have knockoff-label-but-made-by-husky liners.

Also, Im a convert now. Definitely get liners over floor mats. Unless you like meticulously taking off your boots before climbing into your truck.

 

Had my weathertechs since I got the truck and they still clean off like new and have not mis-shapen at all. I’m happy with them. Mind you-I only use them in the winter and spring.

 

What’s the knock-off brand? Are they cheaper?

 

Gator. Oddly enough some days they are more expensive than the Husky's, other days they are much cheaper. They came with a husky install sheet and warranty. I personally like the tread pattern a little better than the Husky, for pure aesthetics.

Another vote for the Husky X-Act fit.

They are made out of a heavier, more comfortable and softer material than the Weathertechs. I've owned Weathertechs on other vehicles and the Weathertechs faded in color and tend to lift around the edges. The Huskys stay put and don't peel up or lift. The weathertechs feel like a thin plastic tray compared to the Huskys.

 

Depends are u off road all the time or city driving . City oem is good enough . Off road husky .

 

These say for 2018-2020. I have a 2016 was there some kind of redesign in 2018? Will they fit my 2016?

 

Have Toyota's in my Tacoma now, had Weathertech's in my 4Runner. Didn't do a lot of off-roading and both were sufficient.

The only difference is that the 2018-2020 had passenger side locking clips, the 2016 does not.

 

I got the husky's. Pricey but excellent product, can get in with muddy shoes and no problem. The only thing, i had to cut out about an inch notch for my clutch pedal, even though it specified that it was for manual transmission.

Not the best pic but i can take one later if you would like. I live in a condo and my truck is downstairs.

 

OEM mats came with my '18 TRD Sport DCSB and I'm very happy with the service I've received over the last two years 23,000 miles. Very little ware and still look good.

 

Nice man, looks good. I think huskys go over the doorsill a bit more, im gonna go take a pic in a bit.

 

I've got the WeatherTechs and I've really liked them. It was a great "quality of life" improvement.

 

That helps as techs always seem to scuff your doorsills up when in for service.

 

I found a set on Amazon. The ad said they were for 2018 to 2020 Tacoma double cab. The passenger mats did not fit--the anchors are about 8 1/8" apart. The mats sent had holes farther apart. I am communicating with some other vendors to find out if their mats, similarly advertised, will work. Right now I suspect Toyota changed the anchor locations in the 2020s. The first vendor said their stock was mixed and there was no way to assure they could send a set that would work. Since there was no way to specify the year of the truck in the order, I have my doubts.

 

Well, i was wrong. The lip is pretty much identical. Great mats though, i hated the rubber toyota oem mats.
